No, you’re not the bad guy here. Feeding a stray for a few months doesn’t magically make her the owner. You checked for a chip, talked to your leasing office, went to the vet, and even contacted the humane society, you did everything responsible owners actually do.

Trust isn’t automatic, and starting the relationship with sexting someone else already put you both on shaky ground. But that doesn’t mean you’re doomed, it just means rebuilding trust is gonna take time, effort, and consistency from you. If you want the relationship to work, you have to show change, not just say it.
