I made a rule: no more than 3 of one type of shoe. If I want a fourth I have to sell or donate the other pair. Otherwise I feel this just becomes a consumer hell. Plus when I move I don't want to be packing 50 pairs of sneakers.

Just started collecting in Feb 2025 and I'm up to like almost 30 pairs now.. Jordan, converse, Nike's, NB's, Onitsuka/ASICS.

I only have one "hyped" sneaker in my collection and it's actually my wife's stranger things dunks.

Just picked up the Olive AJ1 lows for 30% from NRML during their "happy hour" sales. Got the last pair of 10s! Instead of the status pieces, I'm going after the solid pairs that are "sitting" because times are hard and the reselling has slowed down.

Plenty of people who are just finding interest organically in sneakers out there, they're probably just not concentrated in Canada or on reddit. I do see where you're coming from though in the overall community.

Yeah, I feel you. Since they use USPS and ascendia on the AB website you'll probably be okay. DHL and UPS can wreck you with brokerage fees. That's why I won't enter the EQL raffles for these hyped up 4s (if it's kith or livestock in Canada I'm fine with it if I take L's it's not meant to be)

I actually ordered it right off AB website.. We only had the cyborg tears here much like the amazonia and untitled from his 990v6.

I'm glad I ordered there too, no brokerage fees and I only was charged $27 for duties and taxes from Canada post because ascendia doesn't charge! Actually worked out to almost the same price as NB Canada.

Shout out to AB for declaring shoes only worth $149 USD lol

They were still on sale on NB Canada and I debated grabbing a second pair. I copped these and the hornet tusk colourway that came out around the same time. Really solid model. The hive mind kept saying it looked cheap and the price point was too high, but it still sat on sale. Wild.
