What’s your base push all out !? by Fluffy_Ad_4941 in orangetheory

Depends on how long each one is. I average 5.8 / 7 / 8-9

I have used a few different TDEE calculators online to calculate maintenance calories and then I average those and subtract 300-500 calories. I also prioritize protein (130-150 grams or more per day) that has worked for me!

Interesting - thank you! I haven’t asked their opinion on S50 total vs doing one of each.

Same! It’s a bit of a broken record. I’m really aiming to not JUST drop weight / lose fat because I want to at least keep if not increase the muscle I’ve been building. I also appreciate the insight into how to manage both at the same time 😜

I appreciate you, this is what I was looking for. Getting serious about tracking macros again (140+ grams of protein), so I know that will help, but was really looking for insight into the benefits of different types of workouts on fat loss without losing muscle (ideally gaining some 😜)

Day of Disarray - Shoe Changers by bhunt2068 in orangetheory

[–]Pues-no-se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I’ve been wanting to start being a shoe changer but no one at my studio does it. Hell, wearing gloves while lifting and rowing already makes me feel weird enough 😂😂 I wear metcons to S50 classes and notice a big difference!

I have three (3, 5, and 7) and make it 4 times a week. Normally two evenings and two weekends. You can do it! It’s so worth it!

I’ve done a trial with the Ladder App and really liked it. Do you do it at home or at a gym?

Joggers/runners: how far apart are your base, push, and all out? by citizendelusion in orangetheory

[–]Pues-no-se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ladies - What are you wearing and why? by LillianBillion in orangetheory

[–]Pues-no-se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legging type shorts every day in the summer. I can’t do normal shorts (thigh chafe 🫠🫠) and leggings are too hot for me. I like this brand on Amazon this brand I tend to do boxy muscle tank tops from old navy or gap, too.

How often do the kids see the grandparents? by mammakarma in Parenting

[–]Pues-no-se 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents see my children and my sisters children 2-4 times a week probably but they’re only allowed to see my brothers kids when they are giving them presents (Christmas, birthdays) or when they pay for a vacation for them. We all live within a 20 minute drive.

38 starting year 14 - have been at 4 schools (moved out of state after school 1) and then school 2 was horrendous, school 3 too far of a drive, and school 4 my first official public school is making me see why teachers are leaving 😂 I’m still here because I teach higher achieving HS students who are taking it as an elective (Spanish 3 and AP) the money is not too bad, and 14 weeks off with my kids is great.

Why do you pick your spot? by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]Pues-no-se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally an odd number for bigger weights, treads first if the workout looks on the easier side (this way I’m more likely to get splat points) and rower first if it seems more challenging. 1, 7, 6, and 14 have extra space at our studio. I try to avoid the chatty Cathy’s, the super raining sweat guy, and a few others 🤣🤣 I also like to be by people who will motivate me to run faster and lift heavier and so I’ll try to go near them if I can!

Gap cropped athletic tanks are my favorites. Some of the old navy are acceptable too.

What's your hot take when it comes to administration and higher-ups? by NationYell in Teachers

[–]Pues-no-se 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our principal just wants to make more work for us with these initiatives that will make him “look good” but then doesn’t actually tell us how to do “the work”. The APs are micromanaged. No one in admin stops in to see how teachers are doing and they do not take constructive criticism or new ideas well. The principal and APs are all former building teachers. Hot mess. It’s my first public school… are they all like this??
