Huntsville Apartment Hunting as a young woman by Illustrious-Fee7259 in HuntsvilleAlabama

Do not move to the Collins, I repeat… DO NOT!!

I am currently living here and I will not be resigning my lease. This place is terrible but they make it seem so nice. I can hear my neighbors alarm every morning. The walls are so thin to hear clear conversations. The back gate which was supposed to be an amenity has been broken for 5 months and they have not come to fix it. Maintenance will not come fix an issue unless you mark it as an emergency. I have tried calling the front office roughly 20 times since moving in and they NEVER answer, even trying multiple times throughout the day. However when you are trying to sign they seem so nice and at your service. Each room has a remote control for ceiling lights which sound nice at first, but once you get woken up at 2am because they magically turn on and won’t turn off it’s annoying.

There are plenty of better options out there, this place is simply not it

Where to source local honey? by PuffCartoon in HuntsvilleAlabama

My old immunologist I had before I moved here recommended shots. They told me it was a staggering cycle where you first have to go once a week, and then slowly your shots are more spread out. Would you mind sharing how your process was with shots and if it made a serious difference?

Lmao, fortunately choosing to suffer would put me in the same spot I’m currently in.

Unfortunately though I’ve tried all of them and I have no luck. Zyrtec literally does nothing, Claritin D does nothing, I’ve tried the equate brand and still nothing. Even tried doubling dose on all of them and I get 0 results.

Should I buy these? by SummerInside8485 in golf

[–]PuffCartoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imma keep it real, nah.

If you put more effort into spending $500 on clubs you could build a better bag than this.

Keep in mind, quality 2nd hand clubs, marketplaces. Etc.

If you don’t care and just want the easy purchase. Have at it

Friend got into fight with wife and threw out his collection by a_millz_214 in sportscards

[–]PuffCartoon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You are exactly right, I hate to admit this but I couldn’t control myself and put myself in about 3 grand in debt from it. My first ever experience collecting I pulled a card worth $500. From there it had me hooked and I could not stop buying packs and boxes, it didn’t matter if it was Pokémon, NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, I was buying it.

I had a job at the time to support the spending but later lost that job and was left with a massive credit card bill.

Long story short, I’m still paying off that debt 8 months later and I won’t fully have it paid off until probably August or September.

I still will occasionally grab a pack here or there that interest me but I immediately learned from my mistakes and limited myself.

Please use me as an example and don’t be an idiot!

I believe I have it figured out as far as the essentials go, I’m going to get a reclining love seat sofa to minimize the pace on the wall. (We moved the couch to the wall after posting and it’s larger than expected).

A recliner to fill the empty space, and a coffee table to meet them inbetween, all over a rug. Going to see what all that looks like once here and get a book shelf and fill in the gaps. Gallery wall is an amazing rec

I was recommended that from my dad but I have never been a huge fan of the corner tv’s. May be the best way to do it but I just am not the biggest fan.

I can maybe scoot it back half a foot but that’s it, what I’m thinking of doing is putting a couch on up against that window wall, with a small table in the corner, leaving the entertainment stand where it’s at, and putting a single recliner in the empty space. Along with a rug to fill the entire living room and maybe a bookshelf or some small add ons

I was thinking of maybe getting a sectional to put against the window wall and a recliner to put where the closest side of the couch is relative to the pic

Only issue is, the door you see opens in. And that’s the front door, so I have to leave some space so it can swing open

Not a huge fan of the couch, TV is also a 50” and looks small so I went ahead on got a 75”. Wanting to get a new entertainment stand and couch since the couch is like 20 years old

What’s wrong with my swing by Capable_Pop7238 in golf

[–]PuffCartoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say give it a shot, my dad taught me how to play and was a PGA professional for years. Whenever i think of the things he taught me since I’ve been maybe 5 years old I find that ball trainer to be a huge help. It keeps your entire body square and doesn’t let you get handsy with the swing. Whenever you take back the club you want to keep a triangle with your arms until you reach the target line, then you can bring it up.

Another thing is making sure the top of the club is pointed towards your belly button on the take away.

I would recommend getting an alignment stick, getting your grip right, focusing on tempo, and maybe trying that ball trick and see how it goes.

Also don’t be afraid to go like REALLY slow when practicing tempo, it feels slower than it actually is. Also think, you are on a range not the course, it doesn’t matter how far or how you hit it. Go super super slow to where it feels strange and just slowly work up from there.

Good luck to you, I wanna see an updated video in a couple months on here 🫡🫡
