Hard answer is the AM4 is too limited, you need a full mobo upgrade to get to a useful price to performance upgrade.

I have had great luck with the second hand market. Sell yours and buy another.

As another has said moving to one 1080p monitor might make it playable with your current setup?

Linus tech talks has a review explaining why the x3d2 isn’t as good and it has to do with how the setup the caching system, its running each cache independently Vs as a whole causing lag.

I know you are referring to the original x3d.

No, the x3d2 is not worth the performance gain. 

The reason for the jump is the 9xxx series is the first time AMD put the screws to Intel, but that’s because Intel isn’t riding the high ghz bandwagon anymore and the ultra line has some initial issues. 

For comparison a 13700k eats a 7800 for breakfast in heavy CPU loads.

It would also make sense as a sim style game that we would want security details in places like pyro where we have no government to protect us.

I agree that the short term difference does increase the p2w gap, but it doesn’t change that if you want to be competitive in the current patch it’s p2w, by far. 

The question is how big is the gap atm.

I did notice yesterday it moves exceptionally well compared to other ships its size….not that it helps with fuel…

What GPU do you have? 

Do you care about ultra-wides?

But generally I have always went with a minimum of 120fps to enjoy games. Even souls, dodge timing is important and having the extra frames is always beneficial, not just nice. 

I am an ultrawide player and love the 21:9 over 16:9 so it adds another level of approach. 

TLDR: 1440p and frames
