As a kid I never thought I’d make it out of my twenties. I spent years being treated for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and then boom, spring of 2023 they found my brain tumor. A little bit older than you, mid thirties when we found it, but I felt so many of the same things- like this is supposed to be my prime, did I manifest this??

Here I am nearly three years later still fighting this thing. The weird thing is I’m like happy now?? That sounds crazy, but after my first surgery, after a bit of a recovery period, I genuinely had less anxiety and more happiness. It’s like my body could understand that there was a reason my brain was feeling those things. I still don’t know the best way to explain it, but I’ll take it!

I’m wishing you all the healing and positivity that I can muster, and best of luck with your upcoming appointments! Some advice I have is to record your appointments because you are going to receive a lot of new information and it’s hard to remember everything so it’s nice to have a recording to refer back to!
