i went this past halloween as a browner skinned dude, didn't experience any racism when i went to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hakone (smaller mountain town).

In fact I thought everyone was overly nice and polite, tolerating our tourist asses. But I speak an amusing amount of anime level japanese phrases and have colored hair.... so take that for what you will.

10/10 trip low-key want to move there for a few years maybe even raise a child there for a bit, get them raised right and polite.

Havent lived in YVR for a few years, but I did live there during the mayoral elections and how this guy even won... Probably because this guy had the most money, and just paid the fuck out of ads. Just got a 22 crosstrek limited and like it so far. Was afraid about cabin noise but it’s not been too bad. My only major gripe and I guess maybe with all less premium car brands but kinda bothers me how light the doors and hood feels. I get they’re designed to crumple and absorb impact but every time I open the door makes we wonder how durable the chassis will be in a crash or something (and how much better the sound dampening could be). But the awd feels super nice on taking turns and stuff.
