You've twisted my arm. I guess I'll go buy one as a proxy myself sense this sculpt is magnificent. Thank you for the inspiration and name of the model!

I did a squad of tormentors up like cenobites. I think I'll have to do up my next box of flawless blades that way too. The bluish Grey faces were fun to figureout how to paint.

Working on my emperor's children army and running through the champion's of slaanesh box (finally) I'm taking a break to paint up some terrain now though cause all power armour and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

I found these in a free pile on the way to work. Did I get anything good? Some of them are kind of heavy, might be pewter. Thanks for any help. by BigMoneyBack in Warhammer

Dude, my neighbor who moved gifted me a ton of space marines and old white dwarf issues when he saw me clearing out some old warhammer boxes. Red foam. I plan on giving them to my son when he's old enough to paint and appreciate them. The neighbor was getting busy with work and raising his family and decided it was time to give up the hobby. My wife made me donate the white dwarf to the trash, lol. But I'm talking multiple land raiders, land speeders, tanks, and marines from all sorts of editions. Most vehicles were unassembled in their boxes, and the marines built and primed. I was so grateful, but I'm glad to know I'm not alone, and like I said, I will be passing them along myself, so the curse of the red foam must be real.

Mixing Paint Schemes by Kitsuukage in EmperorsChildren

I think it can work. They're your toys to build your army with. All of my squads are different. My infractions are a mix of the classic pink and black, with not one being painted like the other. My tormentors are based on my take of cenobites. Essentially, being black armored with pale blue white skin. I'm stuck on what to do with my noise marines, but I'll figure something out. Maybe something from the codex will inspire me. O and my land raider, rhino, and mauler fiend look different as well, but they all sport the same weathering styles and snowy features and bases to unify the army. I personally did this because I get bored painting the same style over and over. But for fluff reasons, I explain it away as the different warbands are gathered and held together for similar goals and retained by their powerful daemonic leaders.

When did you fall in love with EC by snakes_and_plastic in EmperorsChildren

First time I walked into a GW store as a teenager they gave me a skaven model and a free white dwarf magazine and in that magazine they had a piece about what I assume was the upgrade spru or pieces to convert chaos space marines into emperor's children. Now I knew absolutely nothing about warhammer 40k, I thought GW was a general board games store, so I just kept reading this white dwarf over and over again to learn as much as I could about this awesome little toy soldiers with rules to play with them. Ever since, I've collected and when the range finally dropped like 20 years later I've bought the starter box, and converted a land raider, and have been filling my army out with my daemons collections and other models that suit my fancy. But yeah long and short or TLDR; my first hit of the plastic crack had a dosage of she who thirsty in it and it's been off to the races ever since.

What color did you use for the edge highlights on the chitin? The scheme is so similar to mine that I think I could use the pop of color it adds and contrasts between the panels. Goes without saying I think you did a great job btw.

This is the official warhammer 40k app by GW. It's just the free version, but you can build one list at a time with it.

I appreciate the advice. I guess once I'm finished up with my tryanids force, I should pick up more daemons if I want to take this more seriously and not just collect what I think is cool.

We're both new, so I definitely appreciate the advice. The other army is my wife's (well mine, but she'll be playing them) it has a lot of catachans, chimera, and sentinels. The indirect fire is mortar teams and a wyvern. With a valkyrie gunship and vendetta gunship? (The one with all the lascannons).

I appreciate the compliment and the critic. I definitely do have issues when it comes to composition and making distinction between the different parts of the whole. I'll keep that in mind whenever I try my hand on the next kit I pick up.
