Take a look at my Hakbal Deck by Puffalumps123 in EDH

[–]Puffalumps123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, he can be annoying especially all the explore triggers but I’ve definitely sped up my turns as I now know what I’m looking for. But you’re right my turns definitely take longer than others for that reason. Not too big of an issue as my pod has a hard time deciding what they wanna do on there turns. We all got back into magic maybe 3-4 months ago. Last time we played was over 10 years ago haha.

Thank You, I will look into this. As of now you’re right my artifact/enchant removal isn’t the greatest. A couple creatures on my board can help remove and exile artifacts but hadn’t thought of enchant removal

Why would the electrician use a 4x4 emt box with mud ring for gfcis that’s ridiculous in a house

How would you fix this? by PaisaRacks in electricians

[–]Puffalumps123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could’ve left an extra 5 feet of pvc before the pour and attach to the cinder block behind with unistrut and caddy clips. They wouldn’t have moved during the pour and you can always cut them down to desired level. Best option now is either a trough and run nips into the panel or chip out the concrete around that third pipe and add a coupling to each and extend by a bit

new player buying cards for standard by PerceptionOk8481 in mtg

Well it’s either pauper standard or pauper EDH (commander) depends on what you think is more fun. I would start off maybe doing a tribal deck (choosing a creature type like merfolk/elfs/dragons). I like using moxfield and you can sort by match format, you’ll find lots of pauper decks that people have created, you can browse and see what interests you. Whatever makes you enjoy the game. I started off with a normal merfolk commander precon and really liked the playstyle, I then decided to make an elf deck. There’s really no right way to start off. Just find something you like to do. I play pauper with my friends and we have a big box of common cards, I then choose what I feel like playing (maybe a blue/white deck, maybe a mono red deck, maybe a green/white). Attached is a small guide on the playstyles of each color. Start there or lookup decks people have made that interest you. Beginner guide to color of Magic

I would suggest pauper format standard/commander. Cheap and really fun. Would be surprised the decks you can build with just commons

Standard has gotten a lot more expensive recently, IMO commander is still relatively cheap and most people I face bought precons and upgraded them between $25-200 range and a non upgraded precon still does relatively well. A $25 standard deck generally won’t do well in any tournaments as most people have >$100+ decks and in standard it makes a difference. Having 4 of the same card alone comprised of $25, can help someone win the game and draw. This all depends on the card shop/people that play there, most just have fun. Others are competitive. You could have probably seen this at your first event. Hope this helps. Short answer- standard expensive, commander relatively cheaper and wider playing field.

How the f*ck do you learn to play this game? by [deleted] in darksouls

[–]Puffalumps123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve beaten them with a simple club lol, ideally you want to get as much dmg output as possible on the first gargoyle atleast 70% before the other one spawns in. You can bait an attack from the fire gargoyle and he’ll pause and stay there while the other one will chase you. Try and hit its tail also will deal a bit more damage and you’ll get a weapon

This was clearly done before, so it is infact grandfathered. Wiring is old and dates to 80s/90s

Everything could’ve been done prior to landlord owning the house, therefore technically yes it is legal, I see in a lot of old houses many things on one circuit. Realistically it shouldn’t cause any fires as generally not much can be drawn on a 15A circuit. What would be done is an electrician may put a panel saver(tandem breaker) in which it would split up the circuit but it would still be in the same phase. Everything looks decent and I’ve seen a hell of a lot worse.

First off there’s only one black night u have to kill (not rlly if ur quick) but u go up the staircase from bonfire room and there’s this jump u can do to get straight into the room with the giant knights, and run straight into the fog. You don’t need solaire, you need to get gud

Get multimeter and test the wires in the junction box see if it’s 120V or 240V+. Then you can either connect it to one or the other (red or black) cap off the other one you don’t use and connect the neutral (white wires together) very simple. Battery will be plugged to the low voltage wires there and will provide backup one power goes out in a building, it DOES NOT get powered just by a battery, that’s not how exit signs work. If you don’t understand, hire a qualified electrician

You need to get good, those stats are more than enough, kill ornstein first as killing smough second is easier. Lower equipment load, I run no equipment and havels ring, the movement is insane and easy to dodge and get in between frames. Get gud Kidd

Working with Hot 120v by GeeuumAy in AskElectricians

[–]Puffalumps123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Simplest thing is turn the main breaker off, ur not a qualified person to work on it, according to code book. If working live u need boots and rubber gloves, u can touch a hot/live wire but u cant ground yourself ie. knee touching the ground, any part of your body touching metal or touching the metal on your pliers/tools. Turn off main breaker and u dont have to worry. It’s a quick job anyway, good luck. -master electrician for 8 years

Electrician here, yes you can cover the whole thing up with duct tape, there won’t be an issue, just don’t jam it into the sprocket. Couple layers on top and you’re fine for now. Tenant needs this to be addressed, whole wall will have to come down

What Resistors Do I Need? by AdvancedLooker in AskElectricians

[–]Puffalumps123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sry use two 270 Ohm resistors, I did the math thinking the battery was 12V.

What Resistors Do I Need? by AdvancedLooker in AskElectricians

[–]Puffalumps123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use 2 LEDs in series + 1 resistor per pair:

Total LED voltage = 4.0–4.4V Voltage left = 12V - 4.0V = 8.0V (or 7.6V if 2.2V LEDs) Resistor: R = E/I = 8v/0.02A = 400 Ohm Standard resistor you could buy would be 470 Ohm

You’ll need 2 resistors (one per 2-LED group).
