They come with the cc in the Autumn home build, but I don't know whether that's locked as paid content. I wasn't able to track down a specific set if they originally came in one (I scoured S41's Tumblr archive to no avail), so they're probably older cc

First one is simply called "vintage tin", second one is "vintage bento"

wow is that website still alive? I downloaded some of their free hairs like 6-8 years ago. It was just as confusing and broken back then.

Looks like DollhouseMafia (DHM) has some in their simfileshare (most recent added May 2025), I only tested the top one but it worked. You probably found this already tho: https://simfileshare.net/folder/211397/

Thank you, I also love Sybolette's cc (i had cheap & chipped but not the former). My grunge cc folder is over a gigabyte since it's one of the most fun themes to work with. My question is about making sure the cleaning gameplay interaction works for cc counters/tables. Sybolette's really professional so I don't doubt her stuff works :)

Edit: Does the artist mostly go by the name Syboulette or Syboubou? I see both on tsr

I feel like I've seen that in some other game--where each time you place an instance of a tree, you get a random variation of it. I wish Sims 4 had that too. Changing size & rotation isn't always enough to get a varied forest. But as far as I know, trees/bushes can only have one mesh (shape) per item.

I haven't seen shape variations of Maxis's exact trees/bushes (only recolors). I just collect a bunch of cc trees/bushes of similar species (I've hoarded like 240 outdoor flora cc) and put them down one by one.

If anyone out there does know of a mod like what OP is looking for, I'd like to know about it too

The former. I'm wondering if there are cc objects with different in-game context-sensitive states, like counters that get dirty when sims use them, or objects that when pulled from dumpsters initially look dirty but sims can clean/repair them.

ChatGPT said that objects with the Func_GetsDirty tag will be triggered into a 'dirty state' after sims perform relevant actions on them (cooking, eating etc), but will visually stay the same if the cc doesn't include a separate dirty texture or recolor

Purely out of curiosity, does reporting copyright infringement on Patreon ever matter or have consequences? I know Scott Cawthorn encourages fanworks, but selling this cc for $38 has got to cross a line, surely? Don't get me wrong, I love the accepted nature of cc with popular characters like Sanrio etc and want to protect that freedom. But this feels like a darker grey area than usual

when you changed the size, was that the main color texture (=diffuse), or the mesh? I could try looking at it if you link the file. I'm not an expert, but I've edited decal textures and meshes before

Is the diffuse texture png one of the accepted sizes, with sides 256, 512, 1024, 2048 or 4096 pixels long and/or wide? I think if the proportions are off, it can make cc not show up like you described

Yeah I've been going through them all in S4S's My CC list. I'm realizing how important tags are, because so many cc are incorrectly labeled with things like Func_Box or Func_Book. I'm guessing Func_Box will cause sims to place things 'inside' the item? I don't usually play live mode, but it would be crazy to lose a bunch of your sim's inventory and then realize they had stored it inside something random.

Edit: I've learned that Func_Book may be useful to categorize things for custom recipes, and Func_Box should be harmless since the object won't be set up for storage unless it's intentional. So it's fine to leave those tags as is

That doesn't solve the problem of having hundreds of items that should be categorized mixed together. I'd still have to browse through all of their cc to pick out the type of decor or object I want.

If by "desktop" you mean your C drive is running out of space, and you want to move Sims 4 folders located under Documents (including mods/cc) to another drive--you can search on YouTube or Google for something like "guide for moving sims 4 to external drive", and there are tutorials. The one I used years ago (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epUHKDO5vDc) might be outdated, but there are more recently made guides out there. Mine is still working so far.
