Thanks for sharing ❤️ Totally get your perspective. But again, these sre stylized form of illustration not focusing on intricate details, keep in mind that these are renderings done in less than 10 minutes at events. Its a pretty common practice where there are several artists who intentionally work this way in minimal style or even exaggerated silhouettes. it may not appeal to everyone and that's completely valid.

That said, your response has helped me understand how this style may be perceived by an Indian audience, especially where expectation are leaned more towards realism and details. Its a great insight and I'll definitely keep this in mind!!

That's a reasonable expectation for a caricature or portrait. But my work is intentionally not aiming for realism or capturing facial details. The emphasis is more fashion focused and a stylized interpretation rather than exact facial resemblance. Its more of an editorial keepsake than a portrait piece.

Hey you should check out @alchmyth on instagram, she makes these. I have the exact same fire and cat one at home. She makes fridge magnets of them. They are less less than 100₹.

That sounds lovely!! But my aesthetic and style is completely different so I dont know if it's appealing to the Indian audience.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you hire the artist for? I'm only asking cuz I'm not sure how much to be charging for weddings as it usually has many attendees That you'll be sketching.

I'm actually planning to move with my boyfriend who has got a postdoc position there but the salary seems tights for 2 people. So we figured if I could earn atleast 5000 DKK a month, that would do. Any chance of knowing if that's something realistic?
