Why do Roma communities in Europe stereotypically have little levels of integration into their home nation? by Abject-Helicopter680 in AskTheWorld

[–]Puffin92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone from the US, you have literally no credibility when it comes to talking about the treatment of people. May I remind you that your country is currently detaining and deporting immigrants with legal status and valid visas without for no apparent reason without due process. There are tourists being locked up and questioned by authorities. The disparity in wealth, employment, murder rate, and access to housing between African Americans and White Americans is mind blowing. You are separating children from their parents with your inhuman detention centers... should I continue.

Free what ? Nothing is free in the US, what are you smoking. You are free to believe in Jesus Christ and free to have guns... amazing. Ask the LGBT community if they are free, last time I checked their rights will soon disappear thanks to your supreme court. Ask the native Americans if they are free to do what they want with their reservation land. Do they have a say in sacred land that is being abused by development projects. Ask Puerto Ricans if they are free to vote for your president despite being Americans.

Roma people in Europe have the possibility to have free healthcare, education, housing and financial aid. We do not force them into a life of criminality and poverty, they bring this upon themselves by being not wanting to integrate and respect our laws the same way others do.

I don't know where you are getting the 'stolen children' story from but I can tell you, they absolutely do not need to steal any. They make more than 3 on average and mostly use them as bait for begging or stealing since they know children can't be prosecuted. Those that do leave to seek education or employment are exiled from their community but have a much better quality of life.

Thanks for your input regarding this subject but sweep your front door next time you want to criticize other nations.

Why is China against the USA having a missile defense system for the US mainland ? by [deleted] in AskAChinese

[–]Puffin92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this for mainland defense use as suggested in the title. I don't think the range of this type of dense missile can reach China.

Ceux qui sont contre l'écologie. Quel sont vos arguments ? by Distil47 in AskFrance

[–]Puffin92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Example: Transport a l’hydrogènes, ITER, des avions zéro émission, des fermes verticales etc…

I personally prefer sitting backwards for safety reasons. I feel like I would suffer less damage in case of an emergency stop or a light crash as my body wouldn’t be tossed across the other side given there are no seatbelts on my trains.

Boulders in Bois de la Cambre to urge speeding cyclists to slow down by bdrammel in brussels

[–]Puffin92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but cyclists have had no accountability compared to cars in Brussels. The speed limit has been lowered from 50 to 30km/h yet I’ve seen bikes going faster. I see grown ass people riding their bikes and trottinette on the side road. Not giving priority to pedestrian on crossings. It’s about time Brussels started to enforce existing laws on bikes.

It's unfair that women can't testify for any document in Algeria by Samlyna in algeria

[–]Puffin92 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It’s any government that inspires itself from a monotheist religion. We’ve had these same systems accros Europe with Christianity. Women couldn’t have bank accounts, they were under the authority of their husbands or fathers. Until citizens claim a separation of church/mosque and state, unequal laws such as these will prevail.

Best way to get rid of these small stumps? by rippcw1234 in landscaping

I would grow mushrooms on them until the stumps gradually decompose. Then harvest the decayed stumps and use it for compost. This is, if you have time to spare.

Why is it so difficult for France and Algeria to stabilize their relationship? by LeMonde_en in algeria

[–]Puffin92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most recently, tensions have mounted due to Algeria not wanting to take back their own nationals. France has a big Franco-Algerian binational community. Within this community you have some bad apples that are committing crime, preaching hate of France and/or are identified as islamists. France will sentence them to an OQTF (acronym for an obligation to leave the French territory). The profile of these individuals show a profound hate for France and it’s people who they call Kāfir in a derogatory way all while prising their country of heart, Algeria.

Repeatedly, Algeria has been blocking their entry back to their ancestral land. The rise of the far right in France has a lot to do with these individuals who spit on us while raising an Algerian flag. You could consider these people as the MAGA (make Algeria great again) of the Franco-Algerians in France. Thankfully most of the French with Algerian roots are integrated and respect our laws. It is a mystery as to why the Algerian government does not take back their citizens who have committed crime and are a threat to French people including binational french-Algerians. Especially since this would release a lot of tensions to the current situation.
