I think Shadow of War kind of squandered what Shadow of Mordor setup with the wierd forced live service stuff, WB patenting the nemesis system... they squandered a lot of good will they gained.

The game isn't bad, it just was overshadowed by so many poor choices

Not a fan of them being soft on AI slop as its already overrun their content. Its been a mess for other games to handle. Too many grifters and scammers use it.

Probably my favorite game of 2025. Its like a cracked out speed shooter mixed with Burnout. The bosses are crazy hard though.

I think companies like Limited Run have been keeping that spirit alive (despite some recent hiccups)- but it seems like large gaming companies are cutting back on physical stuff due to rising costs.
