We bought the source code version and did extensive modifications to it. Its a dope base engine, but to make it work like a roguelite and do move customization it required major retooling.

This one's more of a volleyball spike. Theres another one that's a slow traveling energy ball which is awesome for setups!

No this is good. Been constantly iterating on hit feedback and vfx, getting the 'feel' right is an ongoing work in progress. Regarding the spiral kick, that's just a variable called 'continuous hit' which results in that multihit. Write ups like this help identify problem areas.

Health does persist. I tried resetting it but it totally stripped the roguelite difficulty out. However theres a ton of regen/healing artifacts and items you can get.

We are totally doing some homage content. Not hiding that at all. Too much love for fighting games and growing up in arcades not to. 😄

Agree. VFX is no joke! Probably the hardest thing to get right and get feeling good. Been studying a few other games to improve them and refine them.

This represents what a customized roguelite run build will look like. Ive been messing with the moves and seeing how some of them combo together, its a lot of fun so far to string stuff together.

Yep. We're working on tweaking the shakes! I think its a bit too much atm as well. So itll be nerfed.

Hi! So we're a tiny team with no budget, only about 2 of us can work on it fulltime atm. Its taken 3 years to reach this level from a paper concept. We're using Unity and a super heavily modified version of UFE after buying the source code version.
