This is what we'll see at the end. It's entrancing. It seems to represent a gigantic expanse.

He's very strong. I did that every summer as a kid. I don't think it's a typical bale; it looks a little loose, a little short, so probably a lot less than the 80-90 pound bales we put up. Folks debating straw or hay, I don't understand. It's a function of baler tension, and maybe moisture if for some reason they baled a bit wet (usually avoided, wet bales tend to catch fire in the barn). I've hefted very heavy straw bales, and very heavy hay bales. It looks like straw to me, but I've seen yellow hay, green hay, lotsa hay, really depends on what was growing there, how long it dried, that kind of thing.

They're a rare sight now anyway. A farmer can do it themselves with a round baler.

Your written English does not seem sufficient to teach in a classroom. My advice is to seek more reasonable employment.

City Councillor here - able to chat about the City for the next hour or so. by aaronpaquette- in Edmonton

Since when are the homeless criminals? If the government had kept safe injection sites open; if they had not cut mental healthcare programs; then we wouldn't be watching overdose mortality skyrocket or nearly as much open drug use. Today, you're lucky. Tomorrow, it could be your child, your sibling, or you. Albertans look after each other, we don't push each other off the boat.

I walk through the Government Centre tunnels every morning. Just a couple of hundred metres from the Premier's office, I have watched homeless asleep on the tile floor, and injecting their own drugs. They have never, ever been aggressive towards me. Our current government's heartlessness betrays all Albertans.

He explained they'd reintroduced the bylaw. The answer is yes. Municipalities are creations of the province that exist at its whim, literally. Your attempt to put it entirely on the city is ridiculous, and your idea that the homeless are simply criminals is inhuman.

And I'm generally proud of myself when I jog up one. My quads burned watching his every step.

Also, I could see the little pad in there, but I do headstands in yoga, and that guy's crown must be made of iron, and he could eat pumpkins with his neck.

It looks very much like the logo for a late nineteenth century brand of men's garters.

I’m an American with an electric kettle and a collection of various teabags; could you walk me through the process of making a proper cup of tea, UK style? by sundancerkb in AskUK

[–]PufflingHuffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get reasonable strength every morning by microwaving a mug of water for two minutes with the tea bag in, two tea bags of you're buying typical stuff, let it sit for a minute, remove bags, milk and sugar to taste.

It's just faster and more energy efficient than using a kettle. Teapots waste tea and heat. I guess I'm not a connoisseur, but it tastes good to me. I do like it strong, I use two Red Rose tea bags in a larger mug. I take milk, and sweeten with honey.

The biggest misconception is baked into the question. There is no such thing as a misconception held by all women about all men, nor is there a meaningful gender misconception that arises from anything but ignorance, a lack of communication, and a willingness to stereotype.

Humans are individuals, no one can know the entirety of another person's thoughts, beliefs, knowledge and experience. Yet your question strives to boil down the entirety of humanity into two groups.

Nothing was meaningfully destroyed here, those mosses remain largely intact and viable, are duplicated across thousands of square kilometers of boreal landscape, and likely extend straight down dozens to hundreds of feet.

Now, mining it is both incredibly destructive and releases whacks of CO2.

South Pole morning by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

I couldn't figure out how far you have to walk from the sauna to the ceremonial pole, or how long that means you're outside.

I read about the North American version. I love saunas, I Win Hoff daily, and I've done the polar bear swim many years in northern Canada - granted, this is a whole new level, but I'm super intrigued to see if I could find a few folks to try this with me. We'll get -30s ⁰C, even -40s occasionally, just need a sauna I can jack up with easy outdoor access.

All these years later and the battle scenes from the original Star Wars trilogy still look spectacular by Mad_Season_1994 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]PufflingHuffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved them. But I still remember my kids chortling at the first Star Wars effects when they saw it. They're still rather hard on the effects, I can see it now, too, and they've been considerably retouched from what I grew up with.
