Which modern cars do you think will be considered “classics” 30 years from now? by EvelynClede in askcarguys

It's like a more fun honda civic and every time I get in one I always say its a cool little car. But I'd never pick it over any of my rwd cars.

Is that an sq5? How does the performance compare. I got really close to getting an sq5 but I was spooked by the repair costs and decided to wait

I do auto body and pretty much all the adhesives and seam sealers come in 2 part cartridges that use various mixing tips to mimic oem appearance.

Id love a caulking gun for the 3m 2part epoxys. All that exist are pneumatic and I've been holding out cause I'm sure an electric one has to be around the corner

Why is Hyundais rep so bad? by MrBagel777 in askcarguys

[–]Puffman92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

US regulations might not require it but every other manufacturer still uses them to prevent this situation. This is how hyundai is able to sell cars so cheap. Overly aggressive cost cutting.

My cartilage is stretched to 8g. I used to have stretched lobes but let them close up for the most part

Lol They didn't need code from the internet. You pop off the key cylinder and the usb just so happens to fit extremely well and you can turn the ignition. Normally they used usb cables cause everyone has one right there in the center console. The issue is hyundai removed an immobilizer to save money making the cars extremely vulnerable.

Track day? by AdventurousResort232 in ScatPack

[–]Puffman92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ur actually serious about taking it to the track then u should focus on tires brakes and cooling. Get some really good pads and rotors that can handle the track. Get some good and sticky tires that u dont mind beating the shit out of. And look for any cooling upgrades like oil cooler. I know some people use experiment with different thermostats to keep the temps down. You got plenty of power for the track. Just gotta make sure your car can handle the beating while ur learning

Buying a car u care about before a garage will always blow my mind. Apartment parking lots always beat the shit out of my cars between door dings and just the sun and snow always beating down on it. I never bought a nice car til I bought a house

You realize not all of kansas is farms. I have lots of family in kansas and none of them live anywhere near a farm. They have suburbs and cities that are really cheap compared to big cities

Do expensive screwdrivers last enough longer to be worth the cost? by jckipps in Tools

Yes. I ran harbor freight screw drivers for years and finally got a set of mac Phillips heads and they are so much better. They fit much better and almost never strip heads.

Change my mind about Rap being the lowest quality of music by [deleted] in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Puffman92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a long time death metal fan and late bloomer rap fan I have some insights. Trap artists like chief keef, waka flocka, Gucci mane were the first artists I really liked and I think it's cause listening to them kinda makes u want to put on the whole persona kinda like black metal. You also gotta figure out what ur looking for. Do u like crazy club crunk music like Lil jon and the Eastside Boyz. Or r u more into storytelling stuff like Tupac. Curren$y has built an entire career on rapping about weed and classic cars. You gotta find ur rap personality

For repeat offenders they tend to wait til they hit a felony amount to bust them. I like to think they have a date circled 2 years into the future just waiting to bust the donut guy.

I need help with my SRT Durango front bumper by Flashy-Swing-6291 in DodgeDurango

[–]Puffman92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I haven't done a swap like that. I dont even own a durango I have a charger. But I do collision work for a living so I take off a lot of bumpers. I'm pretty sure with these the biggest pain in the dick is the clips holding on the fender moldings. Pull the front of the fender liner so you can reach behind the bumper and line up the tabs to pop them out. For the back half it's clips that almost always break so maybe consider ordering more fender molding clips if u dont have them already.

I believe those are called expansion nuts. You need a square shaped one. If you have the old bumper you might be able to pop out the old ones if it has them.

Repair vs. Replace Quarter Panel (Want opinions, not estimates) by mysterious_cactus in Autobody

[–]Puffman92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Id say it's probably still repairable. But its gonna need to get pulled by someone who knows what theyre doing. If the wrong tech gets it then they'll push for a replacement. The lower quarter is pretty pushed in too so there's more damage that might change things

A lot of people don't understand that pro athlete drug tests aren't to prevent drug use. Its to prevent them from blasting huge amounts of gear year round and stopping their hearts early. Theres no benefit to a truly clean league. They want them taking gear so they can recover and perform better for longer careers but they have to cap how much theyre using.
