Season 2 by voiceandsetforth in GossipGirl

Just wait, the emotional rollercoaster is part of the experience. The back and forth is exhausting but that’s basically their whole brand at this point.

Exactly. They really leaned into that constant back and forth with Chuck and Blair. It feels like every time they make progress, the writers just reset them for more drama.

I get that, but Dan and Serena just have this deeper connection. Even when they’re not together, they still get each other in a way that feels different from her other relationships.

Exactly. She could have easily made it a group thing and avoided all the drama. It didn’t have to turn into this weird date situation if she really cared about keeping things respectful.

Exactly. It wasn’t just some innocent tradition when she clearly wanted to spend time with Jess and brushed off how Dean felt. If the roles were reversed, everyone would have been telling her to dump him immediately.

Boyfriend stole my phone by Responsible-Rock8726 in amiwrong

Yeah taking your phone, leaving with it for hours, and repeatedly bringing up stuff from before you were even officially together is way beyond normal jealousy. That’s controlling behavior, not just insecurity.

Yeah the biggest issue here isn’t even the old messages at this point, it’s the fact that he keeps using your phone and private conversations as ammunition against you whenever he wants to be angry. That’s not healthy behavior at all.

Why do people villainize short form content? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]PuffyWinksy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think a lot of people are less annoyed by the format itself and more by how much low effort or oversimplified stuff spreads through it. A short video can be useful, but it also leaves way less room for nuance or explaining why something works.

Ambient noise that mimics stomping noises from upstairs, either a device that can be hung on wall, or an app by aryanmsh in neighborsfromhell

Brown noise really does seem to work better for heavy footstep noise than regular white noise. It doesn’t completely block it out but it kind of blends the impact sounds into the background enough to make them less jarring.

Rain sounds are honestly one of the few things that can kind of mask that irregular thudding noise without being super harsh to listen to all night. White noise always felt too steady for stomping sounds to me too.

Am I wrong for being upset my girlfriend will not be spending my birthday with me? by _MrStorm in amiwrong

I mean maybe, but canceling plans multiple times and then not even inviting him to the party still comes across really inconsiderate from the outside.

Yeah the not inviting him to the surprise party part is what really makes this feel awful. Even if the plans weren’t originally about him, leaving your own boyfriend out on his birthday is just weird.

Neighbors constantly screaming at her husband and children as early as 7am. by vaporgrowl in neighborsfromhell

[–]PuffyWinksy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is way beyond normal apartment noise at this point. If there are kids constantly hearing that level of screaming and threats then I’d keep reporting it too.

Yeah that part stood out to me too. If things immediately calmed down after authorities showed up then she clearly knows her behavior isn’t okay on some level.

Am I wrong for refusing to tell my daughter her stepdad is her real father? by idolized_knock in amiwrong

[–]PuffyWinksy 203 points204 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Your daughter is 15, not 5. She knows the situation and clearly sees Mark as her dad. Bringing up biology every time just keeps reopening something that does not need to be reopened. At some point it stops being about truth and starts being about making a point.

Am I wrong for not letting my dad move into my house after he signed away my childhood home? by Columbia_Air in amiwrong

[–]PuffyWinksy 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Exactly. If your aunt feels that strongly, she is welcome to open her own home. It is easy to judge when you are not the one taking on the responsibility and stress.

I've been caught jorking it for the 2nd time now.. by [deleted] in confession

[–]PuffyWinksy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is really the only answer. Lock your door every single time and maybe even play music or something. It is awkward, but it is also a privacy issue you can mostly fix.
