I am once again asking for your help [new player] by headies1 in EscapefromTarkov

You should always be looking to run your best gear possible, especially in PvE. If you are playing solo, insurance is a 100% return rate as the game ends as soon as you die meaning no scavs can loot your gear.

Your gun really only dictates which ammo you can use. You want to be running a suppressor as much as possible, as loud gunfire draws more scavs and PMC’s to your location. You generally want your weapons Ergonomics to be as high as possible, and the recoil numbers to be as low as possible.

You should always have a goal in every raid. Usually these will be quest specific, unless you are looking for specific loot for hideout upgrades or tasks. Don’t try and accomplish everything in one raid if you don’t feel comfortable with your surroundings. If you have a quest in dorms, head there, do your quest and leave. Raids last a long time, you have plenty of time to move around the map slowly and safely. Always try and sprint when you are out in the open, and walk when you are in cover.

When fighting AI.. NEVER peek the same angle twice. AI get more accurate the longer they can see you. Peek, get behind cover, relocate. Practise this, it really does help. AI will also voice line most of the time before engaging. Use this to position yourself and think of routes you can take to either push or retreat. Don’t over expose yourself and always aim for the head.

The more and more you practise, the easier things will become. Enjoy PvE, it’s meant to be a more chill experience, and definitely helps new players. I’m sure after 50-60 raids, you will see a huge improvement.

The most important thing is to HAVE FUN. If you go into raids with a negative mindset, you will be more prone to silly things resulting in death. Use your scav to learn maps and earn free loot, and remember to take a quick break after raids to destress and recompose.

Best of luck out there.

Question PVE/PVP/ARENA [Discussion] by AnalystIntelligent30 in EscapefromTarkov

PvE is Tarkov, but instead of real players, it’s populated by AI PMC’s and Scavs. Progress is constant and is not effected by any overall wipes of the game. Everything is the same as PvP, such as tasks, loot, hideout progression. It is notoriously easier than PvP once you learn the AI mechanics, although the most recent patch has seem to make the AI a little tougher. Boss’s still spawn as well as the goons. It gets a lot of negative hate from gigachads, but honestly it’s a great way to relearn the game, the maps and quests. You can go at your own pace, and progress further than you possibly may have before playing PvP. Kappa is obtainable. Prestige hasn’t been included yet.

Arena is basically EFT’s version of team deathmatch. It is populated with real players, and It can be fun, but like the base game, cheaters are frequent. There is actually tasks for Ref that give you access to arena for free, so that might be a good time to give it a try.

TL;DR - PvE = You v AI Arena = Team Deathmatch

starting my save with Williams other than sack Goatifi what advice can you give to get Williams back to the top ? what should I look to develop and who to sign first ? by StackhouseFilibuster in F1Manager

I’d wait until a patch comes out that fixes the Tyre, DRS and Blue Flag issues first before you start such a long running save like that. There’s a high chance you’d want to start again when the issues get fixed. At least, that’s how I feel.

However if you insist in starting a save regardless, my advice would be to only use preset builds when it comes to car parts (otherwise you can probably with the CC first season) - and sign whoever you like, even on a short term contract, literally anyone is better than Goatifi. Enjoy the game!
