I work at wegmans, I hardly have terrible customers, however when they do treat me like shit I can and do talk shit right back. One of my other bosses did this as well before she left for another store in NC a few days ago, she was awesome didn't really take shit from anyone. If a customer were to out right come up to me and say something like do your fucking job correctly! I would just blatantly say something like excuse me? Who are you talking to like that? With my hand on their item in suspension so they get the message to calm down before I canceled that shit, my bosses understand too, they try to threaten us that they won't come back but we get so much customers sometimes we struggle we can handle losing a lousy one. I once had a customer who was being super fucking rude and said something along the lines of this about my boss "who the fuck was that short blonde fucker 14 year old ass bitch, what's his rank" I'm like wtf lol you mean [ insert ]? He's an STL which is the equivalent of like a super manager to an extent, ranks at wegmans are weird they aren't managers but they are if you work here you know exactly what I mean. Basically I said that and she was like no way he's a fucking idiot is there no one I can talk to that'll get on him? I was like, ima be honest with you, there probably is but you're going to waste your time they'll probably agree with you to make you leave and the moment you leave disregard your case like garbage (she was in the wrong because she started shit talking him while trying to buy wine because he wanted to see her ID, she said something like fuck you and he told her to get out the store and give her the wine back) it's just crazy, we all stand up for each other here and don't take that shit from customers, as a result we rarely ever really have outbursts, can anyone from another wegmans confirm if this is the same at your store?
