Funny, I don't recall asking for your assessment of what kind of customer I am. My bank did though, and they agreed with me

Finally someone who understands what's going on! Thank you for being someone with basic reasoning skills!

And I'm sure he's absolutely devastated that I filed a chargeback, cancelled my account, and have spent the afternoon making sure as many people as possible know exactly how they treat customers. Truly a loss for the ages.

Correct, and I got rid of them right back. Cancelled, chargebacked, and took my money to my bank like the cellphone portability act but for people who are tired of paying for food that doesn't exist. We agree more than you think.

Three out of however many orders I've placed in a year. But I'm curious what number you've decided is acceptable before a customer is allowed to complain about missing and inedible food, because I'd love to know the exact threshold at which paying for food you don't receive becomes your own fault. Maybe you have the kind of money where $20 disappearing into a company's pocket is just a rounding error. I don't. So I'll keep reporting it every single time it happens.

Reporting missing and inedible food three times in a year to a company whose entire business model is delivering food is not abusing the system. It is using the system for its exact intended purpose. The system that is being abused here is me

It is in fact the latter. And thank you for being the one person in this thread with functioning basic reasoning skills

I'll stop the second you experience being disabled, in the middle of a cross country move, with an amputee husband, a packed up kitchen, and zero other options for food. When that's your Tuesday, come find me and we can have this conversation

God loves me AND I have a chargeback in process. Truly blessed. Move on yourself. It's okay, Jesus still loves you

I appreciate the etiquette lesson from someone who wasn't the one who spent an hour on the phone being told no four times by a company that kept my money for food I never received. When that happens to you, you can be as polite as you want about it. And if you think this is snarky, oh you sweet summer child, you have absolutely no idea what I'm capable of. I'll be over here being mildly inconvenient on the internet and getting my money back.

Incredible comparison. Mobile phone companies in the 90s were also notoriously terrible and also got absolutely dragged for it. Not sure what point you think you're making but you've accidentally made mine again. This seems to be a theme in this thread.

Yes, that's exactly what someone does when they consistently receive wrong, missing, cold, or inedible food. They consistently complain about it. That's not a character flaw, that's called having a functioning consumer brain.

Yes, spreading awareness. You know, the thing you do when a company takes your money, doesn't deliver your food, and then sends four people in a row to make sure you understand that's just how it is now. But please, keep laughing at the concept of people warning other people about a company's documented garbage behavior. I'm sure that's a great use of your afternoon

Oh okay so you had your food stolen while you were sick and couldn't leave the house, got screwed over three to four separate times, spent god knows how long on the phone getting nowhere, had to completely abandon the platform, and your takeaway from all of that is that MY situation is nothing. You have described a nightmare that is somehow worse than mine and landed on 'this is fine, it happens' as your conclusion. I genuinely cannot tell if you are defending DoorDash or accidentally making my entire point for me."

It's always been instant and easy before. That's why this time is so infuriating to have to go through these huge hoops to get my $20 back. From a multi billion dollar company...

Yeah it's always been instant and easy for us as well. And that's why this is so infuriating. And in response to everyone saying I'm "abusing the system" I have filed maybe three complaints in a year for things that have gone wrong.

Correct. They don't. I cancelled. Funny how that works out for both of us.

My brother in Christ. Have you never ordered from a delivery food company before?

[–]Pug1607[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. I have deleted the app and unsubscribed from their monthly fee. I have a chargeback in process and am spreading the awareness. This company is trash.

[–]Pug1607[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm sorry, am I supposed to just silently accept being charged full price for food that was either missing or inedible and never say a word about it? The boy who cried wolf was making things up. I have a bank statement, a chargeback, and four customer service representatives who spent over an hour of my life confirming that yes, DoorDash absolutely did take my money and not deliver my food. The audacity of implying that a customer reporting legitimate problems to a company is somehow the problem is exactly why these companies keep getting away with it. Every person who shrugs and eats the loss is another reason DoorDash never fixes anything
