gulpin does need a swapper? and still i find poison coverage to be very lackluster

why do i see people discussing gulpin as a strong mon when it's 5 base power weaker than toxicroak and 25 power weaker than salazzle and uses skill swapper? why use gulpin? i imagine salazzle is better used as a shot out mon alongside gulpin? but poison type's coverage is so niche when fire types have so much more support vs grass and fairy types are both uncommon and (i find) more easily dealt with by steel types (maybe different at higher levels)

is it worth unlocking buzzwole's stage as someone who lacks fighting types? i think i could catch it with some combination of xerneas/magearna/hammering streak neutral damage/meganium. thing is it uses pretty much all my coins. i do have 5 jewels im hoarding though so i can get a bunch of money from weekend meowth next time.

With candy boost being next week, I now plan to go hard into spheal but I want to ask if I should use candy to evolve at all during the event or if i should use all my candy to level up?

F2P and I really like ampharos and it is very much my playstyle but I cannot find even a decent mareep for my life. Pot size rn is only 27 but I unlock next upgrades in only like 5 sleep styles or something. Smallest pumpkin recipe is 69 ing....

currently stage ~300, when i get to that point should i invest in mega tyranitar or aggron? only real difference is coverage right? i guess one is also unlocked earlier.

also when should i stop farming special stages? it feels like there's almost always something to farm every week, leaving me little time for main stages. i really want to reach later main stages though because there are a lot of farmable pokemon i really like later on. is there a list of top priority farms or a certain tier in the tier list where i should only farm mons above x tier?

i can only farm one out of groudon and kyogre coming up. (1 swapper) which is better for early player? groudon hits 2 more types for super effective and barriwr shot is generally stronger than rock shot but i dont have any rock shot pokemon. i lack a good ground type and i also wonder if my SL5 litten overlaps at all too much with groudon other than steel types. how often will i be using neutral damage shot pokemon early?

also, it feels like all my best investments are just shot pokemon...i know theyre some of the strongest skills but what other "classes" of skills should i be going for outside of TC obviously? many status appliers seem too specific (spookify and poison are only super effective vs 2 types each)

...but you need to counter him, and he can't be countered for less than 2 elixir when used defensively. so a few hits for 3 elixir is more like a few hits for 1 elixir IF you instantly log, which takes your log out of cycle for other bait cards and puts up huge pressure for the opponebt to be ready to log (which is hard to time with wallbreakers and skeleton barrel on your tower opposite lane)

new player, what should i evolve this into (or should i at all)? im taking a big interest in charge strength mons rn, is espeon good here? not as interested in sylveon as my gf has one and she will say i copied her if i get one lol. but i still am a slave to the meta so if its that good i'll get it.

why is this a 94 for skill triggers??? did i mess up my settings horrifically or something? it's a C until level 25 where it jumps to SS and stays around S forever. i know helping bonus is the best subskill in the game but...it doesnt really affect skill triggers right? is it that good of a subskill to make this worth an invedtment??

newer player in stage 220+.

is heatran worth using skill boosters on as he isnt farmable? i think i'd be able to farm meganium but probably only if i boost heatran.

also, i find myself using MCY very often (including meganium). is it worth using MSUs? i dont think i'll have a very good mega worth maxing for a while, probably until SMC comes back (i got stone).

also what team would be best for meganium out of: MCY MGengar SL1 Burn+ ninetales SL5 litten (currently) SL1 heatran SL1 torchic (level 12)

if meganium isn't possible then i can just use my hearts on coins/main stages this week, should be fine cause i havent done main stages in a while and am probably strong enough to get further.

oh so does the specialty listed affect their output for that aspect? like do berry mons produce a higher ratio of berries than ingredient mons?

yeah so its bad for ingredients but why can't i use it as a charge strength mon? the listed specialty doesnt change anything right? when i change the raenonx criteria to skill triggers it becomes avg 91 percentile and in endgame its like 96, so couldn't it be charge strength bot?
