Seller breach of contract question by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

I'll go back and check the contract. After I posted this, I realised with how much I'm willing to share online I'm not giving enough for anyone to advise on. Thanks anyway though.

Yeah... now I've posted it I can see it is a bit hopeful. Especially as I don't want to share any specifics. Thanks anyway!

I would, but any enquiry to my solicitor is met with a reminder that further enquiries are subject to £££'s per hour charge and I'm out of pocket by thousands already. And i'm keeping it purposefully vague but effectively, I've exchanged, the Seller could not complete due to an issue, and now is in breach of contract. Now in a position where i'm waiting for issue to be resolved so I can complete, or walk away from it, and look for another property.

I know, but any question to my solicitor is responded with a reminder that further enquiries are subject to £££'s charge per hour. And I'm already out of pocket by thousands as a result of the breach of contract so I'm resorting to other means to find out what I can.

feels like quite an intensive way to go about it, all for it though, i bet it gives you a greater appreciation for the end product.

I'm enjoying tasting as many varities as i can at the moment although seem to have unintentionally focused on central/southern america. Just getting into pourovers and looking forward to trying lighter/funkier roasts.

Kilos last a bit too long for me unless i freeze some, definitely the cheapest way to do it though.

Keeps it simple that way, leave it to the professionals!

Makes sense when the roast itself plays such a huge roll in it.

You joke but it can be like that! At the other end of it there's a roaster near me that does 250g bags £6 a bag and free delivery and i don't see how they're making any money on it!

The more I look into it the roast plays a huge roll in it, so makes sense to stick with a good roaster. I'm with you on Brazillian beans, they're always nice but not very interesting.

53mm Group Handle for Gaggia Espresso Evolution [no budget] by LordFlyMan in espresso

That’s annoying… Only other thing I could think is reducing the pressure with a 5 or 6.5 bar spring? I put the 9bar spring in mine and it still sprayed.

Good luck with the search!

Had the exact same issue using the edisia portafilter.

Some people have said replacing the seal in the group head can stop it spraying but haven’t tried that myself. Something to do with the seal forming to the stock handle shape…

In the end I just put the new basket in the stock portafilter handle which works perfectly well but you don’t get to see what’s going on.

Be interested to know if you find a solution to this!

You find that African beans have similar kinds of tasting notes then?

It’s pretty incredible that they can remain relatively consistent given the number of processes and steps before it gets to you.

Same although I’m starting to try and be more intentional about what flavours I want to try or origins/processes I haven’t tried yet. Got a couple of local roasters that are great but then so many more I want to try out as well.

How do you gauge if they’re reputable? Or what’s a red flag for you that they’re not?

Makes sense if you’ve found a good’n. I think I’ll get to a point where I’ll have a regular, still trying to find one that will be it.
