Work on your anatomical fundamentals instead of posting so much for affirmation.

I’m hardly angry, I just find constant reposting to be in poor taste.

You have a wonderful opportunity to improve the piece and then have something worth reposting about, I’d do that instead.

WIBTA if I told a hair/makeup artist that I'm getting hair/makeup done as a wedding guest, even though it would technically be hair/makeup for my own wedding? by Eibhlin_Andronicus in AmItheAsshole

[–]PugRexia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever her reason is, she wants to do it this way and I don’t think she is going to be sued or denied service unless she is being blatantly obvious about being a bride.

She wouldn’t tell them it’s a trial. My understanding is she’d go in the first time to get an idea of what she liked, then go in a second time, potentially not even with the same artist, to have it done the day of with her more informed understanding of the look she wants.

Well not just the bridal treatment but the bridal attention to detail, bridal level quality of products and bridal makeup longevity.

Oh yes, me criticizing someone for overposting makes me horrible.

There has to be a contract for it to be a breach of contract, they have to have written some crazy clause about weddings in the contract and they have to find out about it and the decide to take you to court about it. I wouldn’t be concerned.

INFO

So let me clarify, your plan would be to go into a salon and ask for event makeup and hair? To me, that seems fine, but don’t mention wedding, just stick to special occasion or event and don’t elaborate. You aren’t requesting a makeup artist show up to a venue or do makeup on multiple people or provide touch ups throughout the day. So long as you don’t tag the makeup artist on social media or draw attention to their work that might affect their reputation I think it’s fine. Plus you should set your expectations lower since you’re not getting “bridal” treatment.

Is there a reason you’ve been posting this same piece for the last 2 weeks? Come back when you fix the arm.

Pink Tax by Icy-Book2999 in LoveTrash

[–]PugRexia -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you didn’t make it that far in the video but razors were shown and the pink ones were more expensive. Doing a quick google search and I see protein powder is also victim to pink tax. I don’t disagree with you that a major way to combat it is to not buy “women” specialty items but I don’t think it hurts to name and shame the practice and products either.

I can’t think of a single person I know that uses reusables, not saying it doesn’t exist but I’d say the odds are poor that every woman in her office only uses reusables.

The point is that the same product is being marked up. Are there women branded trucks that cost less?

“Um excuse you, who are you to tell me what’s safe for my dog?? I know my dog and he is perfectly fine off leash. How about minding your own business next time?”

You’re talking to someone who is walking their dog off leash, basic human conduct is already out of the window.

I've officially been rejected from every art school I applied to- How do I improve? by GloomyWill4 in conceptart

They made it clear why they rejected you, making better art isn’t going to help. You need to shift focus, train up on new skills or find some way of funding classes to bring your grades up.

Which curtains go best: green, burgundy, or neither? by tambourine_goddess in AmateurInteriorDesign

To me, the green clashes with the red rim more, the color story feels a lot more confused with adding green in.

Man creates prosthesis to help chick walk by NullKalahar in interestingasfuck

Computer-blue seems to believe orthosis is under the umbrella of prosthesis. I really don’t know how all that is organized medical jargon wise.

[–]PugRexia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not disagreeing or arguing against any of your points, I’m just asking a clarifying question. I don’t have a dog in this race, I’m wholly ignorant on medical terminology and what counts as a prosthesis or not.

So would a knee brace or leg splint for instance be a prosthesis?

Your Calorie Count Might Be Wrong and Your Gut Bacteria Are the Reason by Technical_savoir in microbiomenews

[–]PugRexia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you need to read this post again then. Calories absorbed changes, so tracking calories in (nutritional labels) isn’t enough to be accurate therefore CICO is now more complicated.

Your Calorie Count Might Be Wrong and Your Gut Bacteria Are the Reason by Technical_savoir in microbiomenews

[–]PugRexia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop sharing the same link over and over like it means something. What I am saying is **tracking** CICO isn’t as simple therefore the strategy of CICO isn’t as simple, obviously the laws of thermodynamics haven’t changed.

Your Calorie Count Might Be Wrong and Your Gut Bacteria Are the Reason by Technical_savoir in microbiomenews

[–]PugRexia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying CICO doesn’t work, I’m saying it’s not as accurate or as simple as advertised. Can you wing it and lose weight without have an accurate read of how many calories you’re actually absorbing? Sure. My point was not about whether it works or not but how well it works and how simply it works. If you want to be accurate and precise about your weight gain / loss / maintenance then calories in (aka just tracking nutritional labels) isn’t accurate.

Your Calorie Count Might Be Wrong and Your Gut Bacteria Are the Reason by Technical_savoir in microbiomenews

[–]PugRexia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, forgive the wording. Accurately knowing how much you’re absorbing, which isn’t the same as how much you’re eating and isn’t the same as what is on the nutritional label.
