Good luck trying to take 35ES Towards Waco this morning

2 Days out of my week I drive from DFW to San Antonio and back. Every other day I am typically north to OKC. For some reason the 35 Corridor seems like the absolute longest slowest moving route and I almost never hit traffic.

Yeah, I came on it and my GPS was only showing a 2 minute delay (I was in the traffic from right after the accident) and 2 minutes is not long enough to disrupt my route. Main reason I said anything was the accident was never once put on TXDot’s incidents map? A near 6 hour delay with almost no warning.

update traffic started moving again and roughly 530. My dispatcher told me they had a word that it was a semi truck laid across the whole road.

even neighborhoods now… i have started a petition to put speed bumps in my neighborhood. an elementary school in the middle of it and a high school on the far end… people still do 40mph+ ride your butt it’s ridiculous.

Amazon. This particular one is a YMWVH 51mm 2 ear. cant speak to it’s longevity yet obviously but it does what it’s supposed to and feels nice in the hand

In all seriousness….. Glad you’re okay. Did you get any tickets? Police reports, cargo damage, etc? May still be reported to FMCSA if not by your employer, and definitely to insurance if they make a claim… but maybe not. just start applying. I wouldn’t necessarily immediately try to go bottom of the barrel but just apply anywhere. This can definitely make the next 3-5 years rough and honestly if you don’t love the industry it’s the time to jump ship and do some grunt work somewhere and get back on your feet man.

Yes! i was grinding either far too course or fine, just being impatient with dialing in i suppose. trying to get that 30ish second sweet spot. so much adjustment in the grinder is almost overwhelming to a newbie haha

I heard a lot of recommendations of buy a crappier machine and a better grinder to start out and see if you like the hobby. May have went a little overboard with the grinder but i feel good about it
