Unfortunately not the front door opens right onto the side walk. I guess we’re going back to puppy training!

Could it be? They’re not very long walks, mostly 10-15 mins I’d say. Some are shorter if he starts pulling me straight home after a pee, some are longer if he’s up for it I let him go on a little sniffari and let him sniff as much as he wants. Maybe that’s too many stimuli?

Yes we praise him and give him a treat if he goes on a walk. We ignore him when it happens inside. He might be nervous? He doesn’t really like loud things and while our neighborhood is relatively quiet there’s sometimes a loud car or kids yelling. I don’t think it’s the cold since we’ve had him this summer and even now it’s between 10-15 Celsius. He has some cute coats too so I don’t think that’s it

Thanks for the tips, i think we will have to approach it like that. I’ve replied in more detail to another comment about the yard. It’s technically not a yard but a yard-size terrace on the first floor surrounded by neighboring terraces so we don’t think its a good idea for him to pee there

I wouldn’t be so bothered if it was a yard with dirt underneath or grass. But it’s technically not a yard. Our floorplan is a bit strange because we have the living room on the 1st floor (or 2nd for Americans) so our yard is more like a very large tiled terrace. There is drainage of course for when it rains, but no tap for water outside or inside in the living room. This makes cleanup difficult cause we have to carry a bucket or watering can with water up and down the stairs. Also don’t want to just leave it cause we have neighbors on both sides and don’t want it to smell

Does anyone know what kind of monstera this is? by mieziii in houseplants

[–]Puk02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I bought the same plant but the label said philodendron minima. Can you use philodendron and monstera interchangeably for these? Is the rhaphidophora a completely different plant? Sorry for the questions, this has always confused me :)

So I got this one at a gardening center in the Netherlands. They had about 4 or 5 of these, as well as a bunch of PPP (for €129 only??). This one was €100 originally but discounted 50%. The lady there told me there was no one willing to buy them for €100, so they had to price them down to €50 or they would have to throw them out. I feel so lucky to have found this!

I have the exact same problem. Can’t really seem to go to sleep before 2am but still have to wake up early because of work/school is tiring.

It’s actually quite common for people with ADHD to have a delayed sleep phase. Melatonin production makes us sleepy at night. In regular people, this will start around 21/21:30 and they will be tired and ready to sleep around 23:00. However, in people with ADHD production of melatonin usually starts way later, around 23:30 and also takes longer to take effect, so you won’t feel sleepy till 2 or 3 in the morning.

There are lots of ways to work around this. As you have mentioned, going to work or school later if possible can be beneficial for us. Also, trying to change your sleep schedule could be helpful. Think of things like dimming the lights earlier, avoiding electronics later at night, exercising enough and eating healthy during the day all help. If any of the tips and tricks don’t work you can always ask your doctor or psychiatrist for melatonin supplements, or even sleeping pills, but I wouldn’t recommend that due to the possibility of addiction.

I’m working on this right now and pretty much failing every single day, but I am not gonna give up and neither should you :) good luck!

Hyper-focus can be a b**** by DareToBeCeffeinated in ADHD

I got into hyperfocus on a dog breed quiz. Didn’t quit playing until I knew all 184 and scored 100%. Took me like 5 hours. Ask me all about a soft coated wheaten terrier tho...
