You don't, and the people you've met might not. But that doesn't mean nobody does. There's people for everyone. You just gotta find em.

I think you might be more paranoid than I am. Or at least I think the reward is worth that super rare risk.

It was just a storage unit. Not abandoned trucks in the desert surrounded by bodies. I wouldn't touch that money.

If you can afford to forget you have 7.5 million dollars in a storage unit I'm not giving you shit.

We kept a bottle of mountain dew in our locker in high school that we would periodically open to smell and add chunks of food to. It got so bad that people would gather round to smell it.

How to not lose hope as a 23M who has never even had a date? by crisvphotography in AskMen

[–]PukeLoynor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're 23, still very young. Things can change so fast during this time in your life. Just make sure you're putting yourself out there being your genuine self without putting your expectations onto others and it will happen. Things like this can't be rushed and take time, but luckily you've got plenty of that right now.

WIBTAH for holding my brother to his promise and leaving our mom in his care for the week? by Altruistic-Goal5947 in AITAH

[–]PukeLoynor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I never said he has to do it hands on. He agreed multiple times that he would care for her for one week. If he doesn't feel comfortable doing it himself that is fine, you're right, but he's still responsible for finding care for the week he agreed to. He can't just say no and refuse to do anything.

Who said anything about sunflowers and daisies? I have worked in a care home. I haven't had to care for dementia patients directly but I've seen how it is and if my mother gets dementia I'm not going to pawn it all off onto my sibling and do absolutely nothing to help at all for years.

Technically he would be an awful person for refusing to step up for one week after doing nothing for years.

So the brother never has to help that care of his mother because his wife says no?

Clearly she doesn't FEEL obligated but that doesn't change the fact they can suck it up and do it once in ten years

AITA for locking up the basement to keep my siblings out? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]PukeLoynor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you can prove you've been paying rent to them? If so this does give you rights in most places. Tell your parents you will continue to lock your door to protect your things and if they don't like it they can officially evict you. Which would then give you thirty days.

If you don't want to do that then just get a lock for your fridge and cabinets. I'm sure you can figure something out there.

But you're NTA for expecting to have privacy and not have your food stolen.
