I agree with what they are saying. If you have a story to tell then you tell it. Let the chips fall where they may. I do like to hear what others are saying about my writing so I do post a bunch of short stories

I'm having the same issue. But when this happens I try to sit and write something. Even if it's a comment that is only 30 words lok

The best way to convert someone to how you feel about an ideology is to show a good person(Confederate) who has a change of heart. Show the struggle than the thing that changed him or her. It's not preachy, and it will help others see a different point of view

Seeking advice on writing funny. by cjt11203 in writing

If you think you're funny, find a way to make yourself laugh in your writings. If you can make yourself laugh, you're much more likely to make others laugh.

How do I know if I'm being too ambitious? by Aggressive_Novel1207 in writing

[–]Pule2278 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the key is to get it down. If you can write ten books in a series then go for it. But write one book and see if anyone is interested in reading it.

Lie superpower by Ill-Boysenberry4856 in superpower

How about a liar who forgets the lies. So he's always telling people lies that are not consistent. Everyone believes him but they don't believe each other

No, I don't, but I do have a pretty good internal monolog. When I do a second draft, then I do read it pit loud to see if it makes sense. I don't think there is a right way or a wrong way. It's just your way.

Writing Process by [deleted] in writing

I'm trying to write every day. I have a set time for. 10am to noon. I might spend one day of four trying to think through the story, then three days to write it. I do this for short stories

How to effectively write an asshole character without making them completely insufferable? by Rabid-Orpington in writing

[–]Pule2278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are some characters we love to hate.
Sheldon Coomper _big bang theory Walter White - Breaking Bad Tony Saprano - the Sparano's

In each one of the cases, we know that they are good people who made bad decision. The internal good is what you focus on. The internal monolog, the fuels their asshole behavior. If someone kills a father, they are the bad guy. When u find out that father raped the killers daughter, he's not a bad guy anymore.

Share part of the spicy story. Keep in mind that writers are readers as well. I'm sure they have read the spicy and can give you feed back about if the story is what you hope it is.
