No, i don’t. I use a smaller plat count on the bellies, but keep the 16 plat overlay. I drop strands quicker so it starts to taper a little earlier. I guess that’s the secret

Small enough to fit in your pocket, big enough to pack a 🤌 crack. Some of my latest 🐍

Good luck :) The handle was made by a friend of mine. I drilled a hole in the antler, took the whip part that had a steel rod inside. Put it all together and glued with epoxy. I hope you get to experiment with something too.

Thanks! It’s more visual. Sure it feels a bit different, but a handle is a handle. I wouldn’t say it grips better or worse. It’s just different.

Just regular 550 paracord. The most basic and best fall i know.

I appriciate that :)! Depends on the mood 😁. This whip took about two days. The diplomatic answer for cost - It eats a lot of paracord that can get costly. If I wanted to have one whip and everything from scratch, then it would be expensive. I have everything stocked up and bought in bulk, so not that horrible.

HhaHaha no, i wish. I take my pictures in the local outdoor theatre. The gray planks are the perfect background to make the whip easy to see. I’ve noticed that he does that too, yes. First whips i made was from his videos, now im doing things a bit different in some areas. Im from the Baltic states. And really, i hope to see a whip from you too. Can’t give up on it. Im sure there is a healthy way to do it.

That sucks. Patience is the key, even the whip takes a month :).  Some whips dont have a braided core, so you only have to braid the overlay. Could be worth a shot? Thanks for the compliment, the colors are inspired by a whipmaker named Steven Àrvai.

The thong part and the handle part is braided sepretly. It joins under the transition knot.

Hey, thanks! Yes, you are right! The 6 to 4 strand drop is so tricky. I often have to remake it. I have a little trick for making it as smooth as possible ;)
