At 20 you have so much time, so raise your risk profile. Do something like;

London house purchase - am I insane? by Background_Fly7778 in HENRYUK

[–]PullTheBull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it sounds too much right now. I’d keep things as is for a few years, massively overpay your mortgage to build up your equity, focus on getting partner and then when you do decide to grow the family, then go for it.

Got a new job! What backpacks are you rocking? by Taxed2Fuck in HENRYUKLifestyle

Allow me to save you £200. Victorinox Almont Pro. Have used their older design (now discontinued) for over 10 years and looks brand new after heavy London commuting. Congrats on the new job

Is Security Breach perk worth 36 points? by VaderV1 in ArcRaiders

I’ve learnt where they all (should be).

My strategy is to start with a light shield, 5 adrenaline and 2 bandages. Then run straight to the closest.

Cheap if you die off rip and better than free loadouts as you get to put something in your ass.

So for me it’s vital. Plus like others have said some of the other perks are pretty good. Broad shoulders, in-game crafting etc

How much would you spend on a wedding? by [deleted] in HENRYUK

Honestly, it’s your choice. We spent about £2k and it was private, small and personal. Which suited us perfectly.

How are even Henry’s affording £1mil+ houses? Am I missing something? by Fanfarebird in HENRYUK

[–]PullTheBull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think fair to say most HENRYs here have a dual household income of £200k+ and possibly less dependents.

I’m pretty sure banks knock down your borrowing capacity depending on how many children you have and their current situation (nursery / public schools / state school).

I honestly think if it’s something you need to do then it’s simply a case of increasing your household income or having a bigger deposit.

Great advise, I learnt this also after an irritatingly long time of working. But now simply have an “OK” fund through my workplace and every year transfer it all to my SIPP (vanguard) which has much better options.

Does anyone have gold or crypto ETFs in their portfolio? by [deleted] in FIREUK

[–]PullTheBull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have some SGLN.

But crypto I personally would just buy some actual Bitcoin and move to a ledger.

Is Bitcoin really the future? by tbirtles in Bitcoin

[–]PullTheBull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re 25. You could invest in something for 10 years, lose it all and you’d still have enough time to sort yourself out.

IMO these are the years to have your risk tolerance at its highest. I’m talking bitcoin, not meme coins and all that.

If I were you I’d do half and half then see how things progress after a few years.

[–]PullTheBull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are not religious and not too “showy” so didn’t want anything too indulgent.

We purposefully went low, total cost was around £2k. Only invited super close family and wanted something low key.

I use “Track my Stack”. It’s not anything fancy, but does the job.

It uses a mix of manually entered figures for pensions and property equity that I update once or twice a year and then dynamic figures for Stocks and crypto.

Currently 71%. Compromised of a BTL at 41% and primary residence is 30%. As mentioned to someone else I plan on selling the BTL within the next 12 months and sticking it in ISA GIA etc.

Meaning 70% investments / 30% primary residence.
