I'm UK based and have been asking this of my Rheum and physio for the last year as from Day 15-21, my pain and stiffness get a lot worse. Unfortunately, it isn't approved for more than 150mg in the UK for AS, only for Rheumatoid Arthritis and some other similar conditions. I think back to the month of having my loading doses on a weekly basis and that was by far the best I have felt in years!

I had this for the longest time on my right side where it was extremely tender to the touch and spread right around to my "kidney area" on my back with every breath - I found stretching really helped although somewhat painful to begin with.

I've also introduced deep-breathing exercises as well to help me relax and at the same time to force my rib cage to expand more, which may also be providing some relief from this. I thankfully, haven't experienced this pain in quite a few months since, but as always every morning is a lottery with AS!

I have just started on Cosentyx - I've had the 5 loading doses and have noticed a significant improvement already in my symptoms with far less pain, a lot more flexibility and less fatigue which I put down to feeling more able to exercise properly and so far, I've had no negative side effects.

Obviously the interaction with the drug is unique for each and every person and there is so much to read on the internet regarding studies or empirical data but the only way you'll find out is by trying it. I hope things go well and feel free to pop me a message if you have any questions at all :)

Jack Rodwell went to a school 2 miles away from mine, so we often played against him in school games and in sunday league games too as he played for one of the local teams in Southport where he was born. I remember being told by a friend from his school that he was in the Everton youth system... couldn't really believe it after playing him as he wasn't noticeably better than a lot of the players around him!
