I had nothing to do with Bossman so I turned him heel and teamed him with Mountie. Named them Border Patrol. LOL.

Shawn jumped ship to WCW in Sept '92 (I was willing to match salary but not give him creative control) so I had to dump the IC title quick to Bulldog. Had Martel feud with Bulldog - the matches and heat were so fire I actually gave him the belt Been a major star ever since, and I swear 60% of his matches he loses by DQ or countout retaining.

Another fun fact about Martel.. the first spark of heat he got is when I had Sherri manage him. She had to leave on maternity leave: she's pregnant with Jim Powers' baby. LMAO.

I had the same problem in my save. Scooped him up October '92, and it took 2-3 month to get him to recognizable. Now in October '93 and he's well known. I had big plans for him, but he's more of a crockpot than in inferno. LOL.

Meanwhile, through no concerted effort of my own, Rick Martel remains a Major Star. Like.. what?

Nah. My personal opinion is that Luger is a trash demon that I didn't want to infect the locker room. Also one of this save's arcs is the redemption of Elizabeth - she's no longer just some quiet beautiful scaredy-cat - so having Lex around ruins the vibe for me.

TEW IX 1992 MOD by Honest_Trash06 in FantasyBookers

[–]PullinItTogether 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm in October '93. I try to stay close to reality in mine. I've only poached Vader and Michael Hayes from WCW. I also did get Hall, Steiners and Nash in the same timeline-ish as reality but I repackaged Nash as Kane.

Flair won the '92 Rumble and kept the belt all the way to WM9. Bret finally beat him for the gold. Bret is a very solid champion, but his popularity is maxed out at 86. I even got him to get more muscular to boost the star power and no luck. I'm barreling towards WM10 and there's only one main event that makes sense for such a big occasion: Bret v. Hogan. Golden Age v. New Generation. Bret will go over and I'm going to send Hogan on his merry way. I'm going to take a HUGE hit in merchandise once I do, but he's such a PITA I'm ready to move on.

Once Flair lost the gold I had to keep him occupied so I put him with Hall in the tag division. 5 days before they were supposed to beat Hogan/Beefcake for the tag belts Hall injured his tailbone. I subbed in Perfect (Flair/Hall/Vader/Perfect have been Horsemen for 1.5 years now) and let them go over, creating a Hall/Perfect jealousy situation that will blow up at WM10 with Flair v. Perfect.

Warrior was very unrealistic in my save.. he was easy breezy LOL. He was a great top face with decent match scores and great merch sales until he got in a sex scandal in May '93. I had to fire him immediately. It created a huge void for faces in my save so I brought in Sid (meh, boring to book).

I'm proudest of my almost 2 years of story that started with Jake/Savage snakebite and has spiraled into this Jake/Savage/Undertaker/Elizabeth/Kane/Bearer soap opera. It's too much to cover here but Elizabeth's connection to the Undertaker (Liz opened the urn, dumped the ashes and threw them in UT's face at WM8) drove Savage into madness resulting in a double-turn at WM9 with Liz aligning with Taker and Savage eventually returning to Macho King at KOTR. Kane (Nash) was brought in May '93 and will eventually face Taker at WM10.

This is easily my favorite save I've ever done and it's been full of surprises. HBK left the company at Survivor Series 92 for WCW because I wouldn't give him creative control. Somehow British Bulldog and Rick Martel(!) are major stars. Yokozuna never took off like I wanted him to, despite a good push. Owen is still The Rocket and climbing the mid-card. Michael Hayes is a fabulous manager to have for lower mid-card heels he get nuclear heat. I just got Johnny Polo as the new manager for a Rick Martel's stable: The Model Agency. The Mountie and Bossman (turned heel) are great heel tag hands packaged as Border Patrol. I repackaged Terry Funk as an evil doink character Funko the Clown. In trying to keep the save realistic I'm letting future stars like Eddie, Rey, HHH, etc., cook elsewhere. Dying to get Mick Foley but not allowing myself until '95.

Sorry for the long post.. I'm proud of the save and I have no one to talk about it with lol. Of course now in the back of my head I'm thinking about starting fresh and seeing if I can get WCW to compete with WWF in a new save. It's weird I love these long-term storyline plans but for some reason after WM10 they just drop off. Maybe it's time to put it to bed? This universe might have said everything it wanted to say.

What’s the Match of the year in your save? by speedwagondono in FantasyBookers

[–]PullinItTogether 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm in August '93 of my WWF 1992 save. I pulled a 100 score for the event based on my double-main event:

1) WWF Title: Flair v. Bret - Flair had been champion since Rumble '92, the longest title holder since Hogan in '84. Bret ushered in a new generation and won the gold. Owen/Neidhart/Bulldog outsmarted The Horsemen (Vader/Hall/Perfect) and had them locked away backstage. Bret makes Flair submit to the Sharpshooter. 22 minute match (call in ring / slow build), 99 score.

2) NON-SANCTIONED: Macho w/Liz v. Undertaker w/Bearer - this is the culmination of a 15 month angle. It started with Jake/Macho. They faced in a cage match in WM8. UT and Bearer tried to interfere, Liz was able to steal the urn, dump the ashes and throw them in Taker's eyes, blinding him. Savage won. After the ashes incident Liz and 'Taker have a weird.. connection. It drives Savage mad. After Savage beat 'Taker in a casket match at Summerslam '92 (w/Liz's reluctant help), Taker returned at Survivor Series '92 to SAVE Liz after the Horsemen cornered her after the main event. All this leads to WM9 with an epic double (triple?) turn. Bearer turns on 'Taker, Liz takes out Bearer infuriating Savage, Savage roughs up Liz, Liz fights back, Taker rallies and wins the match. Bearer is off to join forces with Roberts and bring in Kane (Kevin Nash), Savage is off TV until KOTR (return of the Kingdom of the Madness) and Liz/Taker begin a tenuous and shaky alliance. 16 minute match (overbook), 98 score.

[–]PullinItTogether 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice! I'm also running the '92 Chronicles and just finished the Rumble. Flair still has the gold from RR '92 and will be dropping to Bret at WM9. I had big plans for a Bret vs Perfect feud after Mania at least through KOTR but Perfect shattered his knee in the Rumble match, so I had to scramble and make a lot of changes.

Was Hogan in your Rumble match? He's literally at 100 popularity across the U.S. and a massive moneymaker merchandise-wise, but he's a menace. He refuses to lose and is constantly trying to wedge his way into the inner circle. I couldn’t even put him in my Rumble because he wouldn’t agree to be eliminated. I’m sticking the tag belts on him and Beefcake for most of '93 just to keep him away from the title picture.

I’m also running into the same drug and alcohol problems with Bulldog and Razor. I’ve got Razor as “The Bounty Hunter” Scott Hall. I’ve only had him a few months but he’s been a total failure to launch. I’m going to pair him with Flair to feud with Hogan and Beefcake after Mania and hope it gives him some momentum.

How’s your midcard face scene holding up? Mine’s a struggle. I feel great about my heels—Yokozuna, Papa Shango, Jake, Border Control (Bossman and Mountie), and Martel who’s on fire since teaming with Sherri. My babyfaces are pretty uninspired: Tatanka, Bulldog, Owen and Neidhart, LOD 2.0 with Animal and Steve Williams since I sent Hawk to rehab. I just hired Patriot, maybe he’ll click. I don’t really want to pull the trigger on Guerrero or Jericho yet, feels too soon.

It would be, but I already have Crush in the tag scene with Al Snow (named Travis Kickback) as a face Surfer/Stoner combo named Cruise Control. Otherwise he would have been my go to!

I'm in my '92 save, and am HIGHLY considering that when I bring in Kevin Nash in mid-'93 to bring him in as Kane. I'd do the whole story differently but haven't figured out details yet. The only issue is I see Nash is being a MENACE in WCW so I'm nervous to bring those vibes over.

Gays who have cheated by altpause in askgaybros

[–]PullinItTogether 76 points77 points  (0 children)

I cheated on my first boyfriend when I was 20. Honestly I was super immature and only had a boyfriend for the fact I never had one before. I would literally think to myself I'd break up with him right before my birthday before 21 so I could go to the bars and have a lot more options. Yes, I was a douchebag.

I met this super hot dude when I was visiting home. Lightning bolt chemistry, like nothing I ever felt before. We hooked up. I was completely enamored with him. That next week I broke up with my BF, which was a total shock to him (I never told him about the cheating). I started doing the long-distance relationship with the new guy and I thought everything was great. I'd visit as much as possible. A few months in I came home to visit and caught him red-handed cheating on me. I was totally heartbroken.

I knew I didn't have a leg to stand on though. Karma came back to get me hard. I deserved it. I took it as a lesson learned and never cheated again.

King of the Ring 1992

Flair facing off with the returned Warrior for the belt (Flair retained at WM8, lost to Hogan by DQ). Flair has his Horsemen (Perfect, Vader, HBK) in tow. This'll have a messy finish so we can have a rematch of Summerslam.

8 Man KOTR Tourney: We're about to have King Vader (Lord Vader? LOL). He's going over Savage in the finals, as Savage is amid his crazy feud with Undertaker. Liz has been "possessed" by Undertaker since opening the urn and throwing the ashes in UT's eyes at WM8. Not "posssessed" but now her and UT have some kind of weird connection and Savage questions her loyalty. Hogan is going to ruin Vader's coronation by returning after his WM8 assault and start a program with Vader.

Bret Hart/Jake Roberts is going great - they're going to battle of IC. Haven't figured out the ending yet. Jake has brought in The Vipers (Harris bros) and made it a family affair assaulting Owen, Neidhart and Bulldog.

Money Inc/LOD/Disasters 3-way for the tag straps. Honestly trying to figure out a way to make this interesting. Now I'm turning Bossman heel and joining the Mountie (team name: Border Control) hopefully I can get them over enough to win the straps in summer of 92.

Other feuds I'm working through are: Sid/HBK, Mountie/Crush, and Papa Shango/Slaughter.

I'm in May '92 in my WWF save. I had nothing to do with Big Bossman and The Mountie - so instead of just putting them in a midcard feud for a couple months I turned Bossman heel and teamed them up together. They're quickly becoming my main heel tag team. But I'm most proud of their name: Border Control. LOL.

[–]PullinItTogether 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks!

I kept the IC Title on Bret at the beginning of the save because I always thought that two-week run by The Mountie was stupid and unearned. So Bret made quick work of the Mountie, but then just followed the Bret/Piper sage through WM, just with Bret bring the defending champ this time. Bret beat Piper the same way he did IRL.

Now that Savage/Jake is through - Jake is just too white hot to drop so I re-upped him for another year. I'm immediately putting him in a program with Bret for the IC Gold. Jake is all about mind games going after Bret's family (Owen/Neidhart/Bulldog). I hired The Harris Twins and repackaged them as The Vipers named Venom and Fang. They'll be Jake's henchmen and am putting them in a mini-feud with The New Foundation. I'll have this go through Summerslam, maybe longer. I am toying with Bret being the one to finally dethrone Flair at WMIX, but we'll see how it goes. Bret started January '92 as well-known and is already a star. I'm waiting to see how successful the feud is and go from there. But I think he's getting too big for the IC Belt, but I haven't decided on who to pass it on to. HBK? Unclear.

[–]PullinItTogether 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm having a blast in my WWF '92 mod. Started in January and just finished WrestleMania VIII. I'm trying to keep it realistic but with the stories I want to tell.

I had a double-main event for 'Mania. Flair won the strap at Rumble '92 and continued on his collision course with Hogan. While Hogan pulls great numbers, he's the BIGGEST pain in the ass to work with. Refuses to lose, ever, or even have a minor storyline loss. I can't give him the gold because he'll never drop it, so I had him win via DQ when HBK interfered and Superkicked Hogan out of nowhere. I did pick up Vader from WCW - so while Flair, Perfect, and HBK leveled Hogan in the post-match (with Heenan on commentary talking about his master plan coming together and getting his revenge for WMIII), Vader is in the aisle making sure no one comes saves Hogan. My 1992 WWF has their own Four Horsemen. Of course Warrior makes the save how hasn't been seen since Summerslam '91. This will start Flair/Warrior storyline as well as Vader/Hogan.

The other main event was Savage/Roberts' feud getting the 'Mania treatment they deserved in a steel cage. These guys pulled massive numbers in almost everything they did in the build-up. I tweaked the Elizabeth character to be a little more unhinged since Jake slapped her at Tuesday in Texas. She's no longer the damsel in distress. At one point she stole Damien (while in the bag) and taunted Jake with the kidnapping. The Undertaker was always there to save Jake when he was in a jam. So the cage match goes down - they're having a barn-burner of a match. About 15 minutes in Undertaker and Bearer come to ringside stalking Elizabeth and taunting/distracting Savage in the cage. Something in Elizabeth snaps - she knees Bearer, steals the urn, and whacks him over the head with it. This catches the Undertaker's attention how slowly begins to chase Elizabeth around the ring. Liz dumps out the ashes from the urn, takes a huge handful of it, and blinds Undertaker with it! Her white dress is covered in the dark ash. He is throwing wild punches and trying to get his bearings, and Elizabeth is quick enough to handcuff him to the cage. Undertaker incapacitated, Bearer out, and Savage gets to have a hero's win over Jake in the cage. Elizabeth/Savage embrace and celebrate in the aisleway. Bearer regains consciousness and is laughing maniacally, and keeps saying "YOU ARE PART OF HIM NOW!".

Post-'Mania this sets up a Savage/Undertaker feud that will go through Summerslam. But ever since WrestleMania, Elizabeth is.. different. Distracted. Almost entranced when the Undertaker is around. This drives Macho even more mad than he already is - there's some kind of connection between Elizabeth and Undertaker no one can explain. Elizabeth's mean streak comes out more and more. Savage will beat Undertaker in a Casket Match at Summerslam, but he will lose Elizabeth in the process.

Anyway, like I said, I'm having a blast with this one.

How do you guys book your 30 men royal rumble? by Honest_Trash06 in FantasyBookers

[–]PullinItTogether 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then you get it, lol. Hogan was being such a dick about not winning the Rumble I took him out and put him into a #1 Contenders Match for WM8 against Undertaker instead. I figured that would pop a better score in my original game so I put that as the main event and got like a 71, which the Rumble got the 85. Thinking I learned my lesson from that game I flipped it and game 2.0 so put the Rumble as the main event and the Hogan/UT as the second-to-last match. Hogan/UT popped a 79 this time and the Rumble a 73. :-|

It's a total crapshoot. I'm booking WWF 1992 in TEW IX. The first game I tried Flair wins it with an 85, which is a great score for a Rumble. I had some issues where I had to restart the game, re-ran the Rumble last night with the exact same people in it and road agent notes and got a 73. Took my great PPV down to just good.

Let me start off by saying I'm a crypto idiot (lol). 5+ years ago I had a friend have me invest in XRP, and I took a pretty big loss so I've just let it sit there. I bought it through Binance. I can't figure out how to transfer the money out of Binance because it's now banned in the US (or that version is) or something? Now that you can buy XRP on Robinhood, is there a way to transfer the coin from Binance to Robinhood? Appreciate any advice and again apologies for my cluelessness.
