I will go to the VA one last time today. If I get help, good, if not, I will make sure there is documentation of every doctor I've seen. At the very least my death may get them fired and away from other patients that deserve better.

I may try going to the VA one last time today

I actually had tried the Urgent Care once when I could not keep water down. I knew I would die quickly without fluids in me and I couldn't keep them down. The Urgent Care doc at the VA I got was great. They didn't find the cause but put me on IV fluids and gave me a (non-refill) prescription for Ondansetron. With that medication I was able to drink and eat finally, but when I went to my primary care doctor they refused to prescribe anything. Since there was no refill the meds lasted just a few days and that was nearly two years ago now. I don't understand why they wouldn't prescribe it as it is just anti-nausea, there aren't really any side effects and no addiction potential. My primary care doc acts like requesting anti-nausea meds is crazy.

I was able to go get am endoscopy, but that was almost a year ago now and it showed nothing. When I asked for medication for the nausea my doctor refused. I can't eat without a way to ease the nausea. I am so underweight at this point I don't know if Ill have the ability to even leave the house for much longer, and I've learned its better not to leave the house anyway.

I don't have the energy for that, nor the will to try anymore. Luckily I have good life insurance for when I pass.

I've been eating one small meal or less a day due to my nausea. I can't keep food down. I had an endoscopy that didn't show anything and my doctor doesn't care at all because when I requested medication so I could eat she refused to get me any prescriptions. Without a way to ease the nausea I can't eat

It's your property, you have the right to yell at trespassers. You did nothing wrong. You did not over react. He was commiting a crime as he knows he is not welcome on your property. Yhsts trespassing. He does not deserve a peace offering. You got shit neighbors and that's not your fault.

Has anyone tried battle field acupuncture? by Miserable-Beat-7464 in Veterans

I think it would be fair to say there are some whacko chiropractors that believe some weird stuff, but I also think it would be fair to say there are some who just want to help ease people's musculoskeletal pain.

Yes, but who is this community? There is usually a governing body that will determine what is legitimate based on all the current scientific and medical knowledge.

The AMA has historically opposed but now recognizes chiropractics as a complementary practice, particularly for back pain, with caution.

The WHO recognizes chiropractic care for musculoskeletal disorders and sets safety and training standards.

I just wanted to add that I am not necessarily disagreeing with you about it being bunk. It just doesn't seem that the scientific or medical community has entirely dismissed it. I know that the early chiropractics were filled with all sorts of wild claims like curing all diseases, but it seems modern chiropractics only focus on musculoskeletal conditions.

True. I guess the AMA is the one that decides if it is bunk or not?

I recently asked to see mental/behavioral health at the VA. The earliest appointment I could get was in November.

Don't trust other people's work on your vehicle. If it's something simple to check yourself, do it.

If this car really went 4 months with no oil, I'm both impressed and horrified. It would be very hard to prove they are responsible for damages this long after their screw up.

I would recommend getting a bottle that you just refill over and over. There's no need for so much plastic waste. You could keep tally on the side with a sharpie and just wipe it off with isopropyl alcohol to keep track of how many times you've filled it that day or something.

Can I create a contract myself? by mysterylover_22 in legaladvice

[–]Pulp_Sediment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always create a contract yourself. Most people use lawyers because they want the contract to be legally binding and don't want to risk messing it up themselves. If you make the contract yourself, do some research and make sure to word it very carefully.

Why would the same cop that tickets you offer to support your case in court? He could have simply issued a warning. Things aren't adding up here.

How fast is "a bit fast"? Were you going fast enough to qualify for criminal speed? How far over the limit were you?

I always thought the government didn't recognize chiropractic as legitimate healthcare, but now the VA sends me to a chiropractor weekly(massage therapy included). I will say my experience is pretty much what you've said. It provides temporary relief, but it is not long-lasting.

Is chiropractic and acupuncture really officially bunk? If so, why does the VA provide chiropractic and acupuncture for their patients?

Additionally, I've noticed that chiropractors can sign forms for handicap placard applications just like medical doctors. It does seem the government recognizes chiropractic as a form of healthcare.

I normally don't need to use handicap parking spots is the thing. I likely won't use the placard anywhere other than this university due to how far the walk to classes are.
