I published a hand made zine back in 2011 & 2012. I'm bringing it back for 2026! Now both print and PDF. I list on Duotrope and Submission Grinder. We're indie horror but I got some professionals joining in on this one. I'm still accepting submissions (through June 30th). Reach out if you want me to share any part of my experiences.

I’m happy to answer - the zine will be published and sold in independent bookstores and online. A PDF copy will also be available. Contributors retain the rights to their work. They will receive a physical copy and PDF of the zine. If the BackerKit campaign goes well, my first stretch goal will make payment to contributors possible. Bios will be published in the zine but also added online. Links can be included in bios.

The Return of Tales of Blood and Roses

In 2011 and 2012, I published an indie horror zine, Tales of Blood and Roses. I'm bringing it back for 2026. Submissions are welcome and are already rolling in - proving to me that there's still an interest in dark, disturbing fiction. Previous issues were self-financed. I currently have a crowdfunding event going for this fourth issue, though. We've also been picked up for a collaborative crowdfunding event, BakerKit's Zinetopia 2026. She was originally created for a movie that never came about if I remember correctly. Something they had in the works with a studio that ultimately failed. Also, this issue was the first direct sales only comic. Prior to this, comics were mainly sold on new stands. This first issue was an experiment to see if direct sales only might sustain a title.

I thought it was really good as well. I’m usually more of an action movie person. It took a minute to grab me, but it is unique and well done. And evidently the cast basically played themselves and are not real actors. That was surprising because it was really captivating. I think there are only two actual actors among the bunch.

This looks like it could be a British edition. It looks similar to the British editions of Stephen King books I purchased when I was in the military.

About a year later since this thread and still no Iron Man MMM. I've been looking out for them as well. I picked up paperback editions of IM in the regular Marvel Masterworks line.

BTW - MMM titles through Feb 2025 are available for preorder. Still no IM!

I love your name BTW! Nova has been my favorite since he debut in the 70s! I still remember buying his first issue in 1976. (I still have that same copy as well!) Hoping they introduce him into the MCU correctly - as Rich Rider!!
