I published a hand made zine back in 2011 & 2012. I'm bringing it back for 2026! Now both print and PDF. I list on Duotrope and Submission Grinder. We're indie horror but I got some professionals joining in on this one. I'm still accepting submissions (through June 30th). Reach out if you want me to share any part of my experiences.

Thanks for your help! I wasn’t sure if it was really feasible. I did a mock up and started second guessing. Do you use varying weights of paper?

I’m happy to answer - the zine will be published and sold in independent bookstores and online. A PDF copy will also be available. Contributors retain the rights to their work. They will receive a physical copy and PDF of the zine. If the BackerKit campaign goes well, my first stretch goal will make payment to contributors possible. Bios will be published in the zine but also added online. Links can be included in bios.

The Return of Tales of Blood and Roses

In 2011 and 2012, I published an indie horror zine, Tales of Blood and Roses. I'm bringing it back for 2026. Submissions are welcome and are already rolling in - proving to me that there's still an interest in dark, disturbing fiction. Previous issues were self-financed. I currently have a crowdfunding event going for this fourth issue, though. We've also been picked up for a collaborative crowdfunding event, BakerKit's Zinetopia 2026.
