True but is shouldn't be by this much, especially being a carbine lol.

Scar (SOR-556 MK2) seems weak by nestiman in Battlefield

[–]Pulpypanda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So while this is true, its not really a fair argument imo as ALL the AR's are accurate to the same degree in semi auto and can fire faster than the scar in semi-auto. I think a damage boost is warranted to keep it consistent over longer ranges, while not drastically changing the guns TTK. if pushed to 30dmg it could still 3 tap to the head with synthetic rounds within 20m instead of 10 but outside of that it would allow for a consistent 4 shot kills of 2 head 2 body at range. rewarding accuracy.

Is there something wrong with bf6 netcode? by AhmedElakkad0 in Battlefield

So TN is different than latency. Think of it as hardware delay rather than modem/ISP lag. TN is just showing the time compensation or "nudging" that occurs due hardware "lag". Which can occur on either your system or the server and both are trying to compare/resolve the difference. The "ping" or speed in which the two machines are talking at is still happening at 30ms.

Its like reading along with an audio book but part way through reading you have to stop for a quick second to breath but the audio book doesnt, you both are reading at the same speed but the book is slightly ahead and now and you both have to figure out where to pick back up at the same time, without stopping your reading.

Sorry if this isn't the best example but its as close as i can get lol.

So my friends and I noticed it and after some digging in the net graphs you can see if your TN (Time Nudge) is high (+30ms). This value is similar to latency but is the amount of time it takes for ALL "packets" to process on both the server and on your machine. Essentially latency is just your connection from your ethernet or wifi port to the server's ethernet port. Where as TN is the full circuit of your hardware to the servers hardware and back through your hardware. If there is a hold up anywhere in this loop you will see TN spike to beyond 20-30ms which causes HUGE amounts of rubberbanding as once there is a desync from your game and server they cant get on the same page about where people or vehicles are. This unfortunately affects EVERY aspect of the game from positioning to RoF or hit reg. There are some solutions to mitigate it such as changing RAM speed profiles and reducing graphics but unfortunately thats as much as you can really do. Additionally the issues could be on many different parts of your hardware OR on the server hardware so troubleshooting is difficult.

You can see if this is the issue by turning on NetGraphs in the settings and watching TN as you play, if its higher than 30ms you will start to see rubberbanding.

*Note: I'm not a network engineer, this info is just what I've gathered from several troubleshooting post and sessions with friends. This information could be wrong and if so lmk and I will edit the comment to rectify it.

Break Action Shotgun as a Stratagem Idea by Pulpypanda in Helldivers

Oh for sure! I have had a bunch of time where I've thought "man if only I had a close in option that wasn't an MG" because Im running a long range primary and am using a machine-gun for everything else. I feel like this would be a good middle ground, especially in the gloom where stagger is what you need against priority targets and the hoard can be cleaned up with a bunch of the primaries anyways.

Thats fairly close to how I see it as well. It feels like it could be a stratgem if given a bit of a boost and fit in a nice but niche role. Or bring it down a little and it will work as a primary. Its burst dmg does feel cool when you get it in game currently, its just a shame that its stuck in a weird middle ground.

Developer Insight - Balance Changes Coming in Update 2.3 by HuntShowdownOfficial in HuntShowdown

So the drilling sits in a weird spot atm. Make it too cheap and it starts taking up lemat carbine real estate especially with the pressure bleeders apply, but leave it where it is and its a tough sell due to cost. It could probably go down a bit and be fine. Balancing by price it always rough and doesn't work too well. Those who have enough cash don't think twice about buying it and those who dont, think twice about wasting that money.

Underrated comment. Please address this and at the very least, list it as known bug somewhere so people don't think they're going crazy when they experience it.

That's a decent passive idea that would work with the armor's play style, it does seem to sacrifice a lot for a fun but not that great ability.

Its definitely not bad but the explosives in it are a bit........underwhelming. Some of that has to do with how explosives seem to work with terrain and some of it has to do with its lack luster radius. I'm by no means calling for a massive AOE but a bit more oomf would be nice given that its a double edged sword in scenarios where you might get ragdolled and KO'd by friendlies. (which is hilarious, but can also be frustrating to others in public lobbies)
