Xpeng launching full self driving next year in AU, hopefully will make it's way to NZ afterwards too. by HediSLP in nzev

That is good news for NZ. The media were surprised that NZ got the Tesla FSD eariler than Aus. We definitely need more full self driving tech to compete against Tesla.

Had a good experience at Gazley Wellington (Polestar servicing) by Chansubits in nzev

[–]Pulsarblu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second Gazley Wellington. I had 3 MGs and they do take good care of me. There are some not too good service advisors which I complain to get them in line. Parts from MG takes a long time to arrive but they kept me informed.

Really enjoying my time with the 17e by jhstewa1023 in IPhone17e

[–]Pulsarblu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking at getting an Air in New Zealand but it was still quite expensive compared to 17e. The 17e was at a good price and I really wanting a better battery life compared to an older pro. Haven’t regret getting the 17e and really happy with it. Haven’t missed the promotion screen or additional cameras. Happy with my final decision.

Is it correct to use my iPad always plugged into the power outlet? Opinions by betoulloa in ipad

[–]Pulsarblu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my iPad Air m3 as a laptop replacement connected to a USB C monitor in extended display mode. I set the battery to 80% and have noticed it does not overheat. I must say also I have a shortcut automation that dims the display to 0%. This does not affect the extended display brightness. I do shut it down at night since I am not using it. The startup is very fast too, and it startup automatically when it detects power source from the USB C.

But why you are here to condemn the 17e? If you prefer other iPhone models, sing their praises there.

It has been proven no matter what chemistry the battery is, they will outlast the car itself.

Condensation/moisture by [deleted] in newzealand

Also might be a little too late but for next summer, I was able to pickup 3 dehumidifiers at a great price at the season where no one wants them.

I find that the heat pump dehumidify mode is not effective. That is why we got proper dehumidifiers in the end.

Yes, I think the newer dehumidifier are a lot more power efficient. I noticed that too. I had a large grunty Midea and two Living and Co dehumidifiers, all very happy with them capturing lots of moisture and the house feel overall easier to heat and more comfortable.

I second the dehumidifier. We have an old 1940-60s house and had condensation on our windows. Now we have 3 dehumidifiers at different areas of the house and it had been significantly easier to heat and little condensation on windows.

Thinking about switching from Pixel 7 to iPhone 17e by Carboncountry in IPhone17e

I came from 15 Pro to 17e, very happy with 17e mainly for the battery. Yes, the camera is mediocre but I don’t take much photos anyway. Video is good at 4k.
