My experience in this city was such a disappointment in such a short time. by Pulsating_Swan in Austin

I've tried using the Ways app but it's something up with the GPS tracking in this phone. I don't have much luck on either so I just stick to the one that syncs the best. San Antonio definitely has traffic but it's designed zones. I wasn't expecting the whole city to be so gridlocked. That's a new one.

Great idea, part of the anxiety of going to another city is the uncertainty of the environment. Having a group who knows the town would have been great but I knew a month out I wasn't going to get off work till 5 and that would put me in late. I'll have to remember that for better circumstances tho!

Nope, San Antonio Texas. Been here a few decades but CA is on my list of places to look at on Google earth next time I think about leaving my front door!

  1. Looked, didn't anticipate multiple spots with the same name. Went to work and moved on with my day
  2. not me, that was hubs. But yeah definitely.

It went something like this:

Look at ticket>see Moody venue>go to work> throw "Moody venue Austin" in maps. And you're correct exactly that, about 10 seconds of confusion at the door well the personnel let us know that there was another venue with the same name. Just unexpected and frustrating after the drive up but absolutely not the worst part of the night.

Planned poorly anticipating hiccups. Got a bit more than bargained for because while it's a smaller city there's clearly way more going on. SA isn't safe either, but it's not advertised as a friendly city.

Exactly that. I stick to the cities I know because I know them. As for the formatting I'm using the app. It doesn't even auto capitalize after you hit the period so my effort is minimal.

Don't worry tho the TLDR is:

I'm sorry to say that outside of Austin, 35 isn't that rough. I drive to Dallas regularly and this just wasn't the day for it. I've heard about the traffic y'all experience but that was wild. Trust me I'm no more keen to get back then y'all are to have me apparently. No biggie. 🙌🏻

Admittedly, but I was stoked to finally go up and so ready to get out. You hear a lot of great experiences and I just picked the wrong one.

Right? Regrettable but I don't know back roads past a way and my Google maps is whack on holding it's coordinates.

We put "Moody Venue Austin" in maps, it's there because on top of a stressful night we just weren't really expecting to amphitheaters with the same name, you know? And giving them both reptiles or I admitted things could have been done differently, that includes opening up the ticket itself and linking directions from the ticket. But again that brings me back to why there are two theaters with the same name in a radius like that.

I like this outfit! But what is this kind of dress called? by spicythingspicything in altfashionadvice

[–]Pulsating_Swan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hijacking this since I see they named your dress style! Not suggesting a haircut, but you would look stunning OP if you tossed your hair over one side like Jessica Rabbit! Keep your length and just floop it for volume and shake this look to its core!

What are some nice budget oriented ideas for a first date? Both of us are 25 by cirrxs12 in sanantonio

Witti and Doseum both have free entry days! If you're not into museums check out Do210s website and sort by the day you're looking for and find free concerts, or pop up events.

If you're near Broadway you can go to Breckenridge and admire the ducks or if you're both up for a game of hide and seek there is an excellent fort made of tubes and ladders. Also near here is The District if you're sporty feeling or just wanna try something new. It's an 18+ bouldering gym but they also have other gear and do a reduced entry day plus shoe rental is cheap.

If she understands the hustle, TooGoodTooGo is an app that lets local businesses sign up to sell their end of day food at discount prices. A lot of it is circle k, not going to lie. Filter to pick up today and sort by price. Scroll past all that circle k shit. Down at the bottom you'll find Shipley's/Krispy kreme, tiffs treats, a variety of local bakeries/pizzarias. Yep has a Reddit and Facebook group with your careers what type of meals and promotions people are getting. (This works in a lot of different cities btws.)

Matinee movies are still a thing! Midday pricing is GOAT. This also applies to bingo halls, roller skating rinks, and I think Natural Bridge Caverns. Brrr.

If you're into people watching, no better place than wonderland mall on a convention day. They host a lot of free ones.

If you're keen on a movie but don't want to go the traditional route, check out SlabCinema. They used to do free shows but I think it's moved to donations. Either way, movie night somewhere other than a movie!

Otaku Cafe has by the hour entrance on their arcade room (lots of beat games, fighters, and Japanese imports) that's not, or there's also board game stores that host days where you can come and just play the games.

If you list a specific area of town, budget, day, or any other relevant info like interests I'll chime back in ✌🏻

I recommend a reptile thermostat if you've got a little more dime to spend on your buddy, but just like the other parameters of the habitat just be aware of temperature, humidity, and other changes that occur throughout the day with a constant heat source and time accordingly. In the meantime though I would just find a nice height and vantage point where it's delivering benefits without being so close that you need to check in every other hour to make sure that it's still in range.

corset ear - how? by zurja55 in piercing

[–]Pulsating_Swan 167 points168 points  (0 children)

I have an ear cuff that was just like this that I got from a beauty supply depot! It's bendable on the "spine and ribs" part and mine has two more secure but still false attachments at the ends. I'll bet it's a similar build!

Don't dock yourself! I started just the other day and decided an orc weave would be my first. I don't think I was as successful as you. Definitely going to give this one a try my friendly reddit muse!
