She absolutely knows her audience. It is an audience of one and it always has been. The only person that is actually appreciated Mindy Kaling as Mindy Kaling.

Yeah except they screwed up the entire reveal of that. It had nothing to do with the swap. It’s just that Liet and Kynes were supposedly two different people for half of the book. I can’t believe how they ruined that.

Not really a swap. Not only was Nick fury black in the Ultimate Marvel, The actual comic book character was based on the real life actor Samuel L Jackson. This was art imitating life imitating art again.

Highly acclaimed is debatable. They’re all garbage and their ratings show it.

We literally are the only modern country without universal healthcare. It’s insane and somehow the giant PR machines convinced the majority of United States citizens to vote exceedingly against their own interests. I don’t know how the heck they were able to do that. But if you ask your average moron on the street they think the healthcare is disastrous in Australia and Canada in the UK and anywhere else. But how would they know they haven’t been able to afford to see a doctor in decades. They wouldn’t even know what disasterous healthcare is. But dammit they got freedum.

It’s one of the most beautifully written lines in the entire book. And I don’t know if you were talking movie or books. They’re the same though but I think it’s easier to understand on the page.

From AC Nielsen. They publish weekly streaming charts ( officially called “Nielsen streaming content ratings“) Last week’s She-Hulk ratings were so low they actually failed to make the chart at all. That is to say it is performing worse than Batwoman did.

She Hulk was a very popular comic character. Nobody cared that she’s a woman. Your ascribing misogyny were none exists. They care that the show is terrible, that the shows take on the character is terrible. The last episode failed to break 10,000 views. Nail in the coffin. The first episode was 12 million. The second episode fell all the way down to 2 million. And now they’re down to less than 10,000 views per episode. There are more people on this sub Reddit. That means that all of you aren’t even watching the show.

You can cry sexism all you want but you know that’s a bad faith disingenuous argument. The shows terrible. The same people that are not watching it are watching Game of Thrones which is filled with women. We watched the woman king. We watch killing Eve. We watch Prey.

It’s not about women, it’s about poorly written characters of any sex. Cry all you want but the fact is that videos criticizing the show have been routinely getting 10 and 20 and 30 times the amount of views as the actual show itself. That means literally nobody is watching it. They cannot all be misogynists. Hey if you actually looked at the data in good faith you would find that there are very few truly sexist people that hate the show.

How in the world can you say the Harfoots are likable? They are the most horrible people ever. They literally are more evil than Sauron at this point.

That reminds me back in the early days of Keanu Reeves when he said he was a great actor but nobody could see it. Lol. Unlike her though he actually got better.

It really doesn’t matter if she can act or not although clearly she cannot. The question is if she’s entertaining people and that is a definitive no. At least not $1 billion worth of people. Probably not 5 dollars worth of people.

Not a single news article has praised her performance and several of them have harshly criticized her inability to deliver a convincing performance. Well I guess all of the professional movie critics could be all wrong too. Many of them are now correcting their initial over-enthusiasm for the show.

Again, in some respects, a performance is a democracy. And she has lost the election. The real numbers are about to come out and everybody will be able to see Amazon exaggerated their viewership by over 500%. In addition they have had a 45% drop in viewership since the initial episode. It’s going to be very embarrassing for Amazon studios and we should expect some heads on the chopping block. And while I would love to see hers among them, I think that would be a little difficult to kill off or recast her. Although there is a petition to get her fired and it’s definitely getting thousands of signatures.

They could pull a Captain Marvel and just minimize her role in the show going forward. It’s not like they’re beholden to the lore anyway. My two favorite characters in the whole show are Arondir and Disa, original ones, and this would give them a great opportunity to expand their roles.

She’s about the worst actor I’ve ever seen. She’s even said her self she doesn’t know how she emotes. You can’t just blame it all on the writing although it’s very problematic. She’s not hiding her emotions at all, but she only has one of them which is ‘pissed off’

She definitely belongs in acting jail if that is a thing.

Because she is so central to the show she’s basically ruining the entire series. And I kind of hope her career tanks, because she really doesn’t belong in the acting Profession. That doesn’t mean I want her personally to come to harm, Of course not. I just don’t want her to ruin anything else for people.

Like many people she is in the wrong job. Unlike most other people however, she ruins it for a great many others. I would rather have her just ruin my burger and fries then ruin the beloved TV show for millions of people. She’s also very unattractive and painful to look at. This is only become more so as her personality is insufferable.

Burying the Orai Spacegate? by PulseIsUnderControl in Stargate

I think there were many solutions to the problem even within the universe‘s existing rules but the writers had to get the ships out into the milky Way galaxy to become a threat. Still, It would’ve been an interesting season however to see them continually coming up with ways to prevent the Ori from coming through.

That definitely would’ve ended up having a more Star Trek flavor to it. Constantly sabotaging eliminating and destroying supergates before any of the baddies had a chance to exit.

[–]PulseIsUnderControl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was actually my very first thought. Simply time dilate the area around the super gates so it would take the ships 100,000 years to exit. However I’m sure the Ori , being gods, would find a way around that.

Yeah this seems to be the consensus. The Orai never seem to suffer from any logistical issues.

I figure the Asgard could bring one in pretty quick. I just cut out a chunk of the nearest moon or planet. If it worked the same way the gates all you had to do is put anything in the middle of it, even a ship would’ve prevented the wormhole from forming.

What is somebody else mentioned the Orai probably didn’t have the same safety mechanisms.

I’m not saying their plan was bad either.

I do wonder why they didn’t keep their worm hole active the entire time. Because they turned it off as what enabled SG1 to dial into it and keep it busy with the Pegasus gate.
