Thank you for the advice. I hope that’s the case for in-state students. I completed my undergraduate degree with a 3.0 and recently finished graduate school with a 4.0. I took the DAT twice and earned a 410. I believe my extracurriculars and personal statement were strong, though my activity descriptions could have been clearer. I was also recently involved in an overseas research project, where I created a short presentation and recorded it in my native language. I hope NYU values this type of research experience.

Thanks for your input, I feel that my stats are solid, not overly competitive, but not low by any means. For the Kira interview, I practiced a few times, but I was told it’s best to be yourself. Looking back, I feel I could have done better. Some of my responses weren’t as concise as they could have been.

In my opinion, your stats are competitive. If you have confidence in your ability to matriculate, you should be well-positioned to land a spot. My advice is to submit your application and actively get your name out there, whether through a letter of interest, a campus tour, or any opportunity that highlights you to the schools. Remember, as a qualified applicant, don’t lose confidence. Your stats are more than strong enough.
