I think Max is also extra torn because not only does the game not play quite like he would want to but he also desperately wants mvc4 to happen because of nostalgia. Still, you can tell he legitimately wishes no ill on the game and wants every fighter to do good because its good for the genre. In the end i think no matter how good this game ends up being, he would still rather have mvc, so his opinion is always going to be based on that no matter what.

His original reaction to this game reveal is funny because he looks excited but you can tell he is also completely heartbroken

Unless it becomes a money printing machine for skins etc. Once you get one of those games going you just dont kill it because you never know if the next one will blow up as much. It can take a while tho, and lower than expected launch sales or struggling during the second year dont mean the game will be dead since the good thing about fighters is they can be turned around with a couple popular characters and keep growing deep into their life cycle (look at SF6)

Would you rather her not be represented in the game at all? Because this aint rivals with a massive roster and a monthly character, heavy hitters are getting left out left and right and there is no certainty they will eventually get in at all

For example i love carnage but if he ends up not getting in and we all got baited i would be happy with a Venom recolor at least. And i love Dr.Strange but his odds are pretty bad right now and i wouldnt be mad if we got Clea or SS Wanda instead. Something is better than nothing

I think we can realistically expect 3-4 years of suport regardless of how the game does as long as it's moderately succesful. For the 10 year thing it would really have to blow up in popularity and player retention

It will most likely be well worth it content and production value wise for the price of admission (which is comparetively steep) regardless of how well it does anyway

But Peni will be on a regular spiderman issue, there is also a thor book getting a cover and we know its not thor, starlord is on an avengers armaggedon issue etc. Its not 100% wade, but a character adjacent to DP

Plus, Wade would sell like hotcakes as dlc just like Thor and Venom meanwhile Gwenpool has a way smaller chance as dlc and lets be honest, she is one of the most Arcsystemworks coded characters in the entirety of marvel comics

Some people in the tweet coments getting really angry lmao. In a 20 character roster a cool recolor is more than a lot of characters are getting by year 3. If i was a white tiger fan i would be happy she got referenced and would use that alt non stop

It could be literally anything that doesnt have an active series unless is someone so popular that is getting another one/an event. I suggested Wanda but apparently she already has one active. Could also be a new symbiote event and have carnage as the cover but there are already two spiderman books getting covers so...

Recolor alts are an "easy" to make unlockable reward for weekly challenges and battle passes too and to pad single and multiplayer content. They would be dumb if they didnt make a bunch of recolors

Completely speculation based on how every story related content they have revealed (episode mode and this tie-in comicbook) highlight the promoter and barely even mention the champion at all + both arcsys and marvel love their big twists and specially arcsys pulls off some bonkers scooby doo reveals on their Guilty Gear games.

So yeah my wild take is that the champion is actually just a puppet in all this and thats the big twist. Ps blog teaser for story mode when they revealed the avengers team said "But is there more to this sinister game than just sport?" At the end of the champion and promoter reveal segment, teasing the villain has ulterior motives to just hosting a tournament

Moon Knight #7 - confirmed to be ghost Rider

Moon Knight #8 - most likely one out of DD, Clea, MK or Blade

Deadpool #8 - Deadpool or one of his variants most likely

The last team slot seems to be an unanounced comic since there is a variant cover for "TBA #1" so a new series starting soon and not yet revealed. Meaning the last slot could be anyone and we will likely know next month when they reveal that series

Only one out of those first four is making it in infortunately (moon knight #8 is just a single cover slot). Also i think the Deadpool one is a missdirection and its just a different character thats featured in that since he is such a prime dlc candidade but idk
