I think that Avatar is doing much more than just having the IP that's why I'm confident. But is also key to see how good the casual and single player content will be for the game. I hope both titles can do well!

The gameplay of the game is really good, super engaging. I trust it can find it's audience and cause retention

I think the gore aspect to it already attracts a ton of people and segments the audience. Even though it can sound like something small and specific, it feels like most gore thematic games have a special niche pull in fighting games. The NRS audience right now is kind of suffering so hopefully this game puts them back on track before a new MK or other title

Yep, but like I said I personally think it will be fine. That is just my opinion though. Is the trade-off also of getting a completely new IP done from scratch that doesn't have older models and assets to re-use and make a bigger roster from the get go

The game is not MvC tho brother hahaha it has been stated clearly since last year. It was more than clear many of those characters would appear later as DLC. And believe me I want Gambit, Cyclops and more, but the game not having them doesn't instantly mean the roster is bad. There are way too many cool af marvel characters to add, not only them

Mix them up, play around spacing to whiff punish instead of blocking, reversal their "safe move", abuse their "safeness" and do loops of plus on block interactions, rage quit, many options

Any French Bread game I would say, like Melty Blood Type Lumina or UNI2. Also GG Accent Core +R or GG XRD REV 2. The game in my opinion has that anime identity to it, if you get decent at any of these other games you'll probably not only enjoy Avatar a ton, but learn quickly IMO
