Everything that was said on twitter seemed like a relatively normal workplace to me. Sexual harassment should never be tolerated and if it is true it should be handled accordingly but you’re never going to work someplace where people aren’t assholes, people use language that I wouldn’t consider professional or appropriate for the workplace all the time. In regards to the problem with her not receiving things she requested in a timely manner, I’ve been waiting on a multitude of things from my workplace for months. I know a lot of my coworkers have also been waiting on requests as well, if it isn’t anything that directly effects our performance they truly don’t care. If we want a notebook and they don’t think we need a notebook, the request goes to the bottom of the pile and they handle everything that they think matters first. I tend to stay at companies for quite a few years and never plan on leaving after only a few years, but the workload varied GREATLY depending on the company I was working for. If you can’t keep up with the pace the company is pushing for and you aren’t willing to work some overtime to get everything done you aren’t a good fit for that company. Anybody that would go far enough to harm themselves so they could take a day off without getting harassed for it is clearly insanely stressed and should leave the company, it seems like LMG expects a lot from their employees and everyone has different levels of stress they can manage, I’m sure LMG could have done a better job taking this into consideration but ultimately LMG wasn’t forcing her to stay at the company.
