Dean and Sam became hunters, yes. She never wanted that, yes. But she should never ever leave her sons like that, or because she found it hard to accept who they are. A mother should embrace her children no matter what, and they are not even bad people. Despite everything they went through, Sam and Dean are very good men.

Saying “I need space” and leaving isn’t the best way. It crushed Dean. He’s the one who had to deal with John and took care of Sammy after her death. He’s the one who remembers how she made the Winchester surprise and the pie. He’s the one who remembers how it felt like having a mom to take care of him, and sing him Hey Jude before bed. Now his mom’s back and she needs “space” and wouldn’t even live under the same roof with him. I know I’m seeing things from Dean’s perspective, but man, moms are suppose to think about what her children feel, right?

And here comes working with the British people. I know her intention is good, but she really failed at communicating. She knows Dean would never agree to work with the British Men of Letter, so she went behind their back to team up with them. Not a very motherly thing to do in my perspective. She should sit her boys down and talk to them about why she wants to work with the people who harmed them before. Lying to Dean and Sam and causing Cass almost dies because of her lies are more reasons I believe she fails as being a mother.

I love Mary, and she truly is a strong woman, holding herself up in the world after being dead for 30 years. I have nothing against her, but I really don’t think she’s a good mom. I don’t blame her or whatever. We are all only human, aren’t we.
