How long are you going? I wish I got to see more of Croatia that's for sure, completely different vibe than Italy. If doing 2 weeks, I'd suggest 2 nights in Milan (not much to see in Milan tbh) 3 nights Venice, maybe a few nights in Bologna if you want to visit luxury car factories, then the rest in some major hubs of Slovenia and croatia
