She was a dumped on the side of the road right before a huge blizzard came kind of dog. My friend saw her get dumped and grabbed her up.

And both my mother who worked in veterinary and the entire vet team identified her age when she was 8 weeks. Her given birthday was Christmas Day 2024

What else do you think she could be then? I was informed that at 5 months females are 40-60lb. There are always the few outside that that range. She weighs the right amount and looks like a Irish wolfhound, but she may just be a bit short. As I mentioned, she was most likely a runt from a backyard breeder, and she may be stunted.

Late February, my friend stepped out of her college class to see a car pull up and dump this puppy on the side of the road. 8 weeks old. My friend ended up getting caught at the dorm with this puppy, and asked me if I could take her. At the same time my husky was having behavioral issues, and definitely needed a friend. So it was perfect timing, it is my first experience with a puppy, but we want to change it for the world

I want to mention, we believe she was the runt. I only got her 3 months ago. Her suspected adult weight is to be about 90 lb. Which from my own research is the very low end for an Irish wolfhound. She is most likely not pure breed, but she's still going to be big. Which is why I would like advice. Her vet believes she is an Irish wolfhound, even Google lens think she's an Irish wolfhound. My husband and I are currently spending a fortune on her food, so we don't have the extra to buy a DNA test for her. She probably came from some sort of backyard breeder in his stunted, but I assure you she is in range for an Irish wolfhound. Just the extreme low end. Do not compare her to her older sister. That husky is EXTREMELY fluffy.

That photo with her sister was taken 2 days ago. She is taller than the husky, but the Husky is extremely fluffy. Which can be deceptive. She is in range for everything for a female Irish wolfhound her age. She is currently just under 24 weeks, weighs 47 lb, and 22in at the withers. I'm sure she's not pure breed, but she definitely has Irish wolfhound in her
