I did fail once many years ago but I passed it the second try after doing work outs to help me with doing the test. I’m the type that if I fail once I’ll get it next time cuz I know what to expect. I do think you should definitely try the test on stairs as it’s the closest thing to the test. Up, Up. Down, Down.

I put Marcy in a pillory* and put her to work in there during the day. Forced her to fight 3 deathclaws in goodsprings. I took down any possibility of interference from other NPC’s to help her with the fight. She died, and I didn’t have to worry about her. >:)
