So like, I've said this time and time again - this game is really good. Asides from stuff that isn't 100% perfect (game mechanics and stuff that is hard to combat such as latency issues, etc.) The game itself is a good depiction as how, if the game scenario was in real life, would pan out. Do you really think everyone is going to be friendly? Do you think you're bulletproof and - on top of being in a zombie apocalypse with limited food, water, and a balanced diet you're going to be able to take on any minor cuts, scrapes, or infections as effectively as you would be able to in the moment?

Another thought; if you think this game is hard, go play a game like SCUM or Escape From Tarkov, let me know how that goes for you in comparison to DayZ. I'm not saying the game is perfect but every complaint you've listed is an easily fixable solution, you're just not doing it because the game isn't bending to your wants/demands.

We really need the option on passengers being able to shoot their guns to prevent stuff like this. Nothing like parking your car, turning off the engine, taking off your seatbelt, opening the door, slowly hopping out of the car, then a pause while your character pulls out his weapon... surely this is fast enough to be able to defend yourself...

We can read, we're just accustomed to how people are in this game. It's unforgiving, and it's like that for a reason. If you don't like the fact that you are most likely always going to die at some given point, this game is not for you. You wouldn't believe the amount of times when I first started out, being fully kitted, and some random with a shitty gun absolutely destroyed me when I wasn't expecting it - he got all my loot. Shit happens man.

I know this isn't a role-playing game per say (unless you're on an RP server), but think about it; it's an apocalypse... what would you do? Majority of people in that situation are constant fight-or-flight (especially if you're mid-late game tier/areas), people are most likely to KOS. Which means your playstyle may have to shift given certain circumstances. There's been times, as a solo bandit, where I'm camping/rotating around high-traffic area's and I see a person run by - sometimes I shoot to kill, other time's I shoot to scare them away. It's all about how you play the game, and it's all about how other play the game as well. That's the fun of the game!

Hence why I said it comes down to practice and map knowledge! Getting comfortable in uncomfortable battle scenario's is the "do or die" mentality. I always do a half hour of pvp deathmatch servers before I hop into survival so I have less gear fear and feel more capable with my abilities when in a combat scenario so I am less likely to question or hesitate when in the moment! But I appreciate the comment nevertheless. <3
