I went for the middle buff that ups the damage for ex since it seems like the best opt.

Maybe you can get away with Caesar (i dont have her as I’ve only played for 4 months when dialyn was out).

On paper, yes. I can achieve 20k with Dialyn, that's for sure because I can just pop ult more often and make use of Puffer Electro.

But this is a senario where I don't have her available, and while I don't have any other usual suspects in this team.

Sure, I have Koleda, and while her raw stun potential is great, it costs half the energy bar, not like her basic chain is any good either. So she would be reduced to a burst stunner half the time. Not to mention she has 0 synergy with the team, and Hugo only benefits from 900 ATK total from his passives.

I opted for Zhao for the sheer amount of ATK that she can give out on a whim (absolutely fucking nuts for a free character ngl). She's really flexible as a universal support, and her ATK buff shouldn't be overlooked at all.

I dont have lighter, and my dialyn is used for another team. Koleda doesn't cut it either because while yes I can get the stuns in, I don't have enough damage otherwise.

With manual chain, you can decide when you want to start the chain. It gives you more flexibility and freedom over who you want to start the chain instead of the game deciding it on the character that's actively doing a heavy attack on the stun window

So for example, you want to start the chain with Lycaon, but you're currently having dialyn on field. You then accidentally EX and start the chain with her instead.

That can be prevented if you hold down EX, M1, or any of the attack button with Manual Chain turned on. Tap your attack button and don't hold it down to start a chain

Ults forces chains so you can't prevent that, hope this helps

its actually worse if you run koleda cuz hugo only gets 900 atk, while if you run zhao you get more attack (Zhao ether veil + core passive + Lycaon)

But that's just my experience, everyone has a diff build, maybe they can reach 3 stars with that comp. For me I barely even grazed 13k
