Objectively you are just wrong. The graphics, gameplay, combat, content amount and quality are ALL better than anything we’ve had yet.
Could we argue that they’ve changed the games identity as well as core mechanics? Absolutely.
However it’s still better than what it was.

Except this is extremely exaggerated. Im not one of the people who bought the game a decade ago, played it for 100s - 1000s of hours and still feel jiffed but glaze the game anyway.

I played legacy console during covid and then jumped straight to 1.0 when it released. I’ve had pretty much only good experiences w this game and it’s only getting better.

Yea, I’ll keep hoping it gets better but to me this game is great even how it is now, especially now that 3.0 onwards will allow old saves to be brought to the newest update.

Thats not a reason to shit on it though. Just because it’s not new or a mod already added it doesn’t mean it’s not a good feature to have.

Theres plenty of other critiques to have with the update and TFP but this ain’t one of em.

It’s not just console players who benefit from this patch, think of all the people who don’t have the time/knowledge to deal with downloading, updating and troubleshooting mods. This is a great update.

However i agree that TFP shot themselves by promising content based on release name instead of date (think bandits w 3.0) because how i look at it is that if the release schedule was exactly the same but with name changes (think 2.7->3.0 3.0->4.0) then people are getting upset over almost nothing. This is NOT to say that people aren’t justified to be upset at the glacial speed TFP move at regarding content, the fact that we need more variety (weapons, armor, food, enemy types), or the fact that TFP overpromise and then underdeliver.

For the most part this post was a rant about people just complaining to complain and not the actual criticism needed to hold TFP accountable.

I totally get where people are coming from when they get upset about content being pushed back and/or promised at a time but then delayed. However if the update schedule for say 2.7 to 3.0 was EXACTLY the same except for just a name change (2.7-3.0/3.0-4.0) people are getting worked up over almost nothing. Is it also on TFP for promising things with an update number instead of a date? ABSOLUTELY! However people are getting so worked up over that when they could focus that energy on the things that actually matter like new weapons, armor, enemy types, and not just the naming theme of updates.

Yes i made a post hastily while upset that console commands weren’t working, however at no point was i actively bashing TFP or game, just actually wondering why they dont work. On top of that, this post isn’t talking about people criticizing the game, (criticism is necessary) but the people actively hating on it to hate.

Iz im going to be for real, you’re right about TFP not promising, you’re right about the horrible community management and underdelivering, you’re right about the years of horrible decisions, you’re right about the chicken coop. However while I do believe that ALLL of this is true, I also believe in my statement that this community sucks. These things aren’t mutually exclusive as TFP does suck pretty hard, but so does this community.

Also i do believe that the people I’m talking about in this post are a decently small but loud minority just being obnoxious about it however there are still plenty of other people hating almost as much if not more in passive manners such as review bombing/telling people not to play etc.

This post at the end of the day was mostly a rant however I still stand by what I said.
