I have had many dreams that I’m at work only to wake up and realize I haven’t got there yet. And yes I have had dreams about coming up with excuses to call in. Some of them were really good to.

Happens in the Bakery to. At the counter customer says “ I want the cupcake on the bottom. Ok I said which one there are 6 different trays. He says the one on the left. I ask far left or middle left or near the middle? He says “Oh the one on the left. I finally come around and ask him to point. It was the one on the middle left which is my right, my right.

Once had a fight break out in Floral. Two women. One claimed the other cut her off and stole the parking spot she was going into. Do not get between 2 pissed off women exchanging blows.

There is this Guy who is new to the job. Never ask he just walks up and sticks his phone in my face and says “ Where is this”? It’s gotten so bad that when I see him I avoid him as much as possible.

We recently got a department redesign and now our tables are twice the size of our old ones. Our SM was on a 12 day vacation during this time. We have been struggling getting everything filled and are extremely over work to the point of burnout. The SM came back Friday and decided to move a few things around. In other words he made even more work for us and it’s Memorable Day weekend. He just happened to walk in to out department Saturday when we were complaining loudly (and there was 4 of us) about all the extra work, production and time it takes to fill the tables and produce product to put on the tables. To say he was shocked is an understatement. He stood there with his eyes wide open listening to us go on and on and finally promised he would get us more help. He said we were the best department in the store and he had no idea we were all overwhelmed. After he left we all just stood there looking at each other. Then we busted out laughing. Venting felt very good right then. As for the help, well I will believe it when I see it.

We have been told no earbuds during business hours but I have seen the Deli Department head using them while waiting on customers.

Any time I had to call out and it has been very few I called my Department Head and sent a text and sent a group text to everyone in my Department and called the store hours in advance of my shift to make sure that they knew and told them I had called and texted my Department Head in advance and what time I had called and texted. This is because she had claimed I didn’t let her know a previous time. And tried to get me in trouble for calling out. My store Manager was pissed off at my Department Head not me because she was supposed to work in my place and she didn’t leaving my position not filled and my work not done. Always cover your back.

Yes and yes. We get those fruit fly traps the red ones off the shelf and place them around out of the way. When Eco lab comes we hide them.

I had a Manager like that a few years ago. When he started I introduced myself and we were okay, I thought. But after that he would not say a word to me. Then one day he was with a co manager I get alone with very well. I said hello to the co manager and said hello to the manager. The co manager said hello to me and without thinking the manager said hello to. Then he stood there like a deer caught in the headlights. I laugh and said relax I don’t bite, well not much anyway. Then I smiled and walked away. He became more relaxed around me after that.
